This review is strictly for sushi takeout from the Deptford Mt. Fuji location.

We ordered sushi for takeout, and unfortunately the rolls were very skimpy not much salmon in them. They were noticeably small and seemed to be made that way simply to fit into the takeout containers. For the prices they charge, the portions are not a good value.

It appears they may do well in other areas, but based on our experience, I cannot recommend Mt. Fuji for takeout sushi. They should do a better job and give customers what they are paying for.

Had a awesome time here for our nephews birthday party. Service was amazing and the hibachi experience is fantastic.
Soo.. went a 2nd time and sat on the “regular ” side for dinner. Holy crap really good . Service is so quick and friendly. Dude the shrimp tempura

Don’t let the outside discourage you. On the inside, the restaurant is very clean and modern. The food is delicious and the service staff are courteous and attentive. The hibachi is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are good. They also have a good assortment of sushi choices. Overall, I highly recommend and would eat here again.

It’s been my favorite place to get sushi for over a decade now. The only time my food wasn’t good was Spring 2025 because everything I ordered had cucumbers in it. 1-2 days after we got it, it comes out that there were cucumbers with salmonella through NJ. And I mean the taste of the cucumbers were so bad I couldn’t eat my food. So the only issue that I’ve ever had wasn’t due to any fault from the restaurant. It was just a bad coincidence that NJ had a salmonella outbreak on cucumbers. I still recommend to everyone!

Ordered 3 sushi platters to go, for a total of $185. They won’t let you customize the platters at all. Some of the sushi was mushy. The stand alone fish was blah, and too much of it. Each platter only had about 6 yummy rolls, that’s it.

This place was a hidden gem. Looking for a place to eat on the way back home and we luckily found Mt Fuji. The sashimi was extremely fresh and flavorful. The sushi was wonderful and they created their own spins and flavors on rolls with classics like fresh salmon and tuna. All ingredients were fresh and you can tell they clearly know what they are doing here! Next beach trip we will return!
