I travel… alot. And when I’m in the Vernon Hills area, I stop in here for about an hour every morning before work and again every evening right after work. I’ve been doing this for about 3 years now. I like the place. As a traveler, this truly is my 3rd place.

i waited 15 minutes in the drive thru that wasn’t even moving and then went inside to wait another 10 minutes to try and get my order i placed online. no one acknowledged me when i was trying to get someone’s attention to get me my drink. i ended up leaving without my drink because i woukd have been late for work if i waited any longer. slow and poor customer service. i wasted my starbucks stars at this location just to try to get my morning coffee

I usually enjoy coming to this Starbucks — the drinks are always good and I appreciate the convenience of the drive-thru. But lately, I’ve noticed something that really changed my experience.
Today I ordered a $5 coffee and left a $1 tip (which is about 20%). I believe that’s fair and a kind gesture for drive-thru service. However, the barista saw the tip amount on the screen, made a face, didn’t say “thank you” or “have a good day,” and just handed me my drink with a very unfriendly attitude.
I always try to be polite and supportive toward staff, but it’s disappointing to feel judged for how much I tip. A smile and a simple “thank you” go a long way. I hope management reminds the team that kindness and respect matter more than the amount on the tip screen — that’s what keeps customers coming back.

Just stop by to get a hot drink, the grande latte decaf with hazelnut syrup! It was so good and satisfying! The barista, Jessica was super friendly and helpful! It was pretty busy here, but quiet and relaxing! A great morning enjoying my coffee!

Just went in to get a coffee; stood at the counter for 3 minutes like an idiot. I don’t mind waiting, but none of the SIX EMPLOYEES working behind the counter even glanced at me or acknowledged me. A simple, “we’ll be right with you” would have done wonders. I walked out and I swear I will never return to this place again.

Currently sitting in this location. Stopped in because my phone was dead and i forgot my charger. Asked the staff if they could help and they were more than happy to borrow me a C cord and let me charge up my phone while I waited for my Uber. Saying “Thank you” was not enough, so I’m here leaving a 5⭐+ review. Thank you so much to the staff here on 9/4/25 at 840pm. Borrowing me a c cord and letting me charge may not seem like a big deal but it means the world to me right now. Great, helpful staff. THIS is amazing customer service and I’m very grateful! ❤️❤️
