Tldr; has all the staples of dim sum but heavy on fried foods. Not bad!

Overall, quite tasty, no complaints. We came on Sunday 12pm, which was pretty crowded but no wait time. After sitting, we were able to eat immediately. The thousand egg porridge with lean meat was my favorite, light on flavor but plenty of meat. Their selection is a little limited if you don’t like deep fried foods. In terms of atmosphere, the only complaint is that it is a little crowded.

We ordered dim sum for delivery on Grubhub, and when we called to confirm the order they told us they were not actually on Grubhub. They then proceeded to work with the driver to fulfill the order anyway, calling us and letting us know to keep us informed. Not only did we appreciate them taking the extra effort to fix the issue, the dim sum was amazing! We had the turnip cake, shu mai, beef rice rolls, and sticky rice in lotus leaf. All were generously sized, succulent and tasty. We’ll be ordering again on the right app!

Cheung fun is not good because it is too thick. Pork shumai is the best. Hargow is not good either, same with beef tripe. The rest is normal. Service is kinda slow, took them forever to bring out the cheung fun.

I recently visited Ocean City Restaurant in Chinatown, Philadelphia, for a dim sum experience. My overall impression leads me to a 4-star rating, partly to support this local business.

The restaurant itself boasts a spacious and clean environment, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. A standout feature is the staff’s friendliness and attentive service, which significantly enhanced my dining experience.

Regarding the food, the dim sum was decent, although I’d rate it around 3 to 3.5 stars in terms of flavor and variety. However, a pleasant surprise was the crab meat soup dumplings, which were exceptionally good and worth a special mention.

In summary, while the dim sum at Ocean City Restaurant may not be the best in town, the combination of a welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and a few standout dishes like the crab meat soup dumplings make it a worthy option. My 4-star rating reflects my overall satisfaction and a nod to supporting local businesses in the community.

I don’t see any reason to go to any other dim sum spot in Chinatown, this one is perfect. It opens at 10:30am and when I arrived at 10:45am, it was already packed. The staff were very welcoming and explained the different tea options to me. I was even suggested to wait and let it brew a bit. There were a congee cart, dim sum cart, and dessert cart fully stocked around all the time, as well as some specialty items like coconut milk and pork bun. I absolutely loved the beef tripe, turnip cake, shrimp rice rolls, and greens, but my favorite were the chicken feet. I know that not everyone enjoys it, but to me this is a delicacy. In the evening, there was some music and entertainment.

Great food at a traditional dim sum place. They have the dishes on carts they push around. Carts were filled with a great variety and were constantly rotated. Servers were great on tea refills, slightly slower with water ones. Whenever I get dim sum on carts, I never know the names of what I ate, but everything tasted fantastic. One downside was that we had no idea of the prices until we finished and went up to pay, since they just circle on the receipt how many small, medium, and large dishes you ate. While we did eat a lot of food, I thought it was a tad expensive for dim sum. Would definitely come back!

Wow! Haven’t been here since my wedding reception! Glad to be back- food is delicious and service was EXCEPTIONAL! Highly recommend! We’ve had our wedding guests come back to eat after they tasted the food at our wedding. After all these years, they’re still so good! Lots of new dishes added as well. We especially loved the service today, as it was a busy Sunday. Do yourself a favor and come eat here! There’s a parking lot across the street too, which makes it easy since Chinatown parking can be hard (not a free lot though! But it wasn’t ridiculously priced).

Came after the flower show. Cart dim sum style. The stars were the har gow and fried seafood pancake. Loved it all though, classic dim sum.

Having traveled to Hong Kong and Mainland China I can say that the food here mimics the flavors and sparks inexhaustible memories from many meals shared with colleagues and friends.

Go for Sunday dim sum brunch if you want to really get an authentic experience.

My personal favorites : turnip cake, meatballs, soup dumplings and the taro dumpling.

The waitresses are friendly and funny and more than willing to help you understand the endless options available.

For 2 of us the bill was 60 bucks and we had 7 different dishes and fried rice.

GO HERE! You won’t be sorry .
