Loved everything about this place. Food is delicious and atmosphere is great! Love the cozy feel, the decor is beautful and the style is so modern. Love this Chinese restaurant a lot. Me and my husband went here for dinner after a night concert and everything was so good. The environment was clean and quiet with wide space and we didn’t need to talk super loud to hear each other. We ordered cumin steak and gso’s chicken, all come with rice with choice and big plate. We were thinking about getting additional dish but we didn’t need to. Price was pretty reasonable as well. My husband also said the chicken was the best he ever had compared to other Chinese restaurants. We highly recommend this place.

Get the Lunch Special for the most banging for your buck, Lunch specials available even on weekends. We went on Happy Hour, which had many great deals on appetizers including Edamame, Purple Potato Fries, Shumai, Summer Roll, Satay and Crab Rangoon. Our favorites were the Fries which were lightly fried and the ube cooked tasted fresh. The Summer Roll fell apart easily, but was very refreshing combination including mango. The peanut sauce was well done too. The Chicken Satay was plump and good amount. Everything was tasty. We also tried the Mango Mojito cocktail as non-alcoholic, and it was refreshing. The lychee mojito was also very good. Additionally we had the pork soup dumplings, chicken noodle soup and duck noodle soup. The soups were comforting, and broth was okay. The duck soup was tastier even though the broth remainder the same, but this is because the duck pieces and bones just made a more flavorful soup in our opinion. The soup dumplings were solid — not the worst, not the best. Still very juicy, good size and fair amount for the price. Overall an excellent value for dinner and also the ambience with the lanterns plus the attentive service can’t be beat. The blueberry lemon cheesecake was also tasty. We don’t live near the upper east side, but we did, I think we would come back often.

Discovered this gem just based on the reviews… I’m so glad I found it! First time here and brought my family who is visiting in New York and everyone loved it. The food is amazing and the spot itself is really cute. We ordered pad thai, chicken dumplings, wanton soup, and sesame chicken. Everything 5 stars!!!

My husband and I had a great dinner at New Chinatown. Everything was great, and their shumai was flavorful and had a chunky filling rather than a puréed one. The soup dumplings were also flavorful and some of the better soup dumplings I’ve had in NY. The dishes were a good portion and the environment was very cute!

Genuinely great atmosphere. Very nicely decorated Asian fusion place. They were filling takeout orders at a rapid pace from the beginning of the evening which just shows you how well they are doing. I had the Thai green curry which was exactly the right spice level for someone with medium spice tolerance. (Spicier than Mexican but not quite Indian or Szechuan). We also had the money bags which were perfectly cheesy and scallion pancakes which were perfectly made but needed some more scallions. Chicken Satay was very crunchy and well done. My boyfriend cleaned his plate- he had the chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce. The bathroom was super clean and the whole place was pretty accessible.

Their novel take on a summer roll ($12 plus tax) had julienned vegetables and mango instead of the expected rice noodles. The drunken noodle with tofu ($16) was only mildly spicy and the noodles were slightly overdone and were sticking together. Overall the food was average. The service was very attentive.
