The drinks, 3 gin tonic, 2 without alcohol. They could not remember witch was witch. At one time they eventually gave us plates but took them away again just to put them on the table next to us.
Service was a disaster.
The meat, we took 3 different steaks for the 6 of us. The cheapest on is the one to go for. Actually, it was not special. Nothing about the food was special. We did not get enough sauce and had to pay extra for everything.
Just to pricey for what it is, there are much better steak resto’s in the neighborhood.
The menu itself is chunks of raw meat on a wooden board, left on the table outside by the waitress. When I asked her if those particular pieces of meat were served, she actually said they are served to the customers. The board was left completely unattended for a long time by the employees and people got quite close to it. What if someone touches or sneezes? I found the concept quite dangerous for food safety.
The meat itself was good, but there are issues. Firstly, you can’t choose how your meat is cooked. It’s always medium-rare. I usually prefer my meat rare, so it was weird not being able to choose that. Secondly, the fillet was cut into four pieces when served. I really prefer seeing the thick marbling and cutting the meat myself, so it wasn’t as fulfilling for me. There’s no way you can guess that beforehand.
The cheesecake (with the name “secret” on the menu) was a big disappointment. It was full of artificial syrup and cheap white chocolate, and a tiny portion of the actual cheesecake, which was bland and not creamy at all. Extremely overpriced compared to the quality. Just get some high quality icecream for 1/3 of the price from the artisan ice cream shop one block next to the restaurant.
The service was friendly but slow. I had to wait more than 25 minutes for that “secret” cheesecake to arrive.
Overall: Reconsider if this is the best choice.
Food was superb, we had the Tomahawk and caviar with a great beer called Tipsy. (7.5%)
Atmosphere was fantastic, we ended up talking to the 3 people at the table next to us.
Definitely will come back on a regular basis, can’t recommend it highly enough.
