In terms of what we tried, for starters and apps we had: gyoza (decent), popcorn chicken ( crunchy), teriyaki chicken, hibachi chicken, hibachi steak, tempura veggies ( pretty solid), miso soup, and baked mussels (pretty good).
For sushi and sashimi we went with more standard stuff: rainbow rolls (decent), avocado roll, salmon roll, and then as sashimi we got salmon, tuna, white tuna, yellowtail. The tuna was not great, but the rest were good.
Overall a very good experience for the price point of $35.95. our server Patton/Payton (I hope I spelled it right sorry) was very patient with our order and would check on our food if something hadn’t come out. She was very sweet and attentive. If you plan to visit, be prepared to be patient with staff and food delivery time while they figure out their operations. We will most likely be back!
I’m going to review for anyone that wanting to check it out.my simplest reviews
Pro:
Service: excellent
Server:no complain, excellent
Atmosphere: perfect
Clean, foods is great. But still need improvement. Sushi is great
cons:
The sashimi. It is okay. Not that fresh. Can be great if it were consistent cut, displayed, and thickness. I’m guessing chef isn’t professional yet. Or perhaps not enough training. Another 1 star down is due to our ordered was reduced each time it come out. The first few times, it was perfect. Towards the ends, it just not like we were expected. Another worth mention is the rice. It isn’t soft like the experiences we had with the fresh or authentic sushi places that just melt in your mouth with every bite. This location lack this I noticed.
No hot water, no boba tea, no hot tea. Just some of the essential that they don’t have at their soft opening yet.
We enjoyed it a lot at the beginning. Closed to the ends is where it’s a little disappointing.
With every kid that dine in at their soft opening will guaranteed to have a Machi Sushi cat like the one in this photo (while supplies last) . It’s so cute!
The lack of fresh rice when making sushi. My husband & I went for the sashimi instead. And it was a turn down too. Salmon and surf clam was fresh. Best there if you try. Tuna is not fresh. Same goes for the other ones. Shout out to Jenny, our server, she’s the best. She’s super attentive and always there when we ready to order. We went during rush hour, which the restaurant is empty when we got there. Got seated right away. No wait time.
Adult price for buffet is $35.95
Children under 4:$12.95
Children 4 – 12 :$24. 95
3.5 stars for me
Lesson learned: don’t go on soft opening if you have high expectations….
Btw, I’ve tried the one in Killeen. It’s superb 5 stars.
I really want to like this a lot but it isn’t quite there yet.

A special thank you to our waitress, Claudya, who provided outstanding service. She was extremely kind, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Her professionalism and warm attitude truly made our dinner even more enjoyable.
