This is the place for lovers of Korean BBQ. The meats are freshly grilled in front of you on a charcoal grill. Along with the main dishes you order, you get a variety of sides, including salad, greens, and others. You should go here with plenty of appetite. I will keep going there with my sons. Remember there is nothing in seafood or Chicken here. Most of everything is Pork and Beef.

Solid KBBQ spot in NJ. The meat quality was good — we ordered cow tongue and short ribs and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. It came with steamed egg and soup, which was a nice touch. They also cook the meat for you, so it’s a relaxed dining experience.
The only downside this visit was the service at the start — when we arrived, there was a lady standing at the counter who wasn’t really helping us with ordering, which felt a bit awkward. Other than that, the experience was decent overall.
Not a bad spot at all, but it’s still so hard to pick a true go-to KBBQ place in NJ.

Hanam is one of best BBQ spots anywhere. Love this place. Second visit and it was fantastic. The meats are super high quality. The brisket and wagyu were our two favorites. The waitress tends the grill go you and the charcoals are blazing hot when they get to your table. It isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for! Definitely worth the price. We went on a Saturday night and there were people waiting when we were finishing up.

I’ve always loved this restaurant and have been a loyal customer for years, so I was really disappointed by my experience today.
The grill was already burnt and they didn’t replace it, so all the meat had a burnt taste. The pieces were cut way too big, and by the time the staff came over, the meat was already overcooked. Overall, the service felt unfriendly and inattentive.
We also ordered pork today, and the quality was especially poor. When it was time to pay, it honestly didn’t feel worth the money at all.
After supporting this place for so many years, today’s visit was truly disappointing.

This is a tasty reasonably priced Korean BBQ near the George Washington Bridge.
The restaurant is a large modern space with extractors and grills at each table. It’s functional rather than comfortable.
The menu has several combo options for groups (a group is somewhat expected here) and they give a reasonable but not excessive assortment of banchan. I particularly enjoyed the oi kimchi. Lots of fresh lettuce was also provided.
The servings of meat were reasonable and the meat was high quality.
We all left stuffed and happy.
The service was a little overeager. While it’s customary at traditional BBQ restaurants for the waiter to do most of the work, these waiters were literally leaning over us and our food in ways that felt intrusive. I like my meat with crispy edges and one of the waiters kept snipping those bits off. This was all well intentioned but was a bit much.
This restaurant is a nice spot if you want to intro someone to Korean BBQ but don’t want to pay NY prices, it’s also a great spot for family. It’s tasty, but not particularly fancy.

Food was great! Steak was quality! We had the skirt steak, brisket and some other cuts (not sure what they were). The pork belly too was very good! The skirt steak was best though, very tender. We also had the eel which was very good and fresh. All of the free apps were delicious! The service was phenomenal, really can’t complain. Would definitely return.

She’s a whole experience in herself—super friendly, crazy attentive (especially with the kids!), and made us feel like absolute VIPs. She even surprised us with complimentary soju to toast our special day. Ma’am, if you’re reading this, you deserve a raise & a tiara.
Now let’s talk FOOD.
Meat? Chef’s kiss. Juicy, tender, packed with flavor, and grilled to perfection.
Banchan (appetizers)? Overflowing. They’re generous with those veggies and sides—like a Korean grandma just kept feeding us.
Without asking, she gave us more lettuce and we can’t say no!
Atmosphere? Cozy and chill, but still poppin’ enough to feel like a party.
We were so full and she gave us to go boxes.
Anticipation? ON POINT!
By the end of the night, we were full, happy, slightly tipsy from the sojus, and already planning our next visit.
