You must try this new restaurant which is in the space of what was previously an Ethiopian restaurant. Sudanese food is different from Ethiopian food, there’s no spongy bread. The Sudanese bread is a wonderful fluffy pita type bread. I got the Lamb Shaya and it was amazing. The food was so flavorful and the portions were huge. This may be one of the best restaurants you can eat at in terms of value. The salad was so flavorful as well. The server accidentally brought out rice instead of bread so then he brought out bread and I got to eat both. The rice was also very tasty. I’m excited to come back and try more dishes.

Look when it comes to ethnic food between flavor/price/service most places you get 2 of the 3 but this gem hits all three. Very friendly staff and food that’s very hard to find elsewhere. I’ve been in Sioux Falls for 30+ years and it’s nice when you can walk into a place and taste and experience something brand new.

I went in for dinner, trying out the place for the first time since it opened. I ordered the fish (Tilapia) platter. The food was amazing, I ate the whole thing and was very satisfied with the taste and authenticity. The staff was very friendly and checked on me occasionally to make sure I was enjoying the food. I will definitely come back again and try something else on the menu until I have sampled everything and set a favorite that way l can call ahead of time and have it ready when l arrive. 5 stars ✨ would recommend!

A hidden gem. Don’t be discouraged by the outdoor appearance (they have only been here a few months). Very inviting atmosphere inside, the server was very friendly and helpful with answering questions. They have some options for the timid and for the adventurous. If you are a foodie, give this place a try.

I have to admit I never bother with reviews, but I was particularly impressed with the cuisine here.
It was about 10pm, we just left an event nearby, and we were looking for food to eat that was not fast junk. This is open until 2am. The building doesn’t look the nicest and parking is not great. But my husband and I know, small places like this usually have great food. We were right!!
We walked in and the guys were playing pool in the back with music going. It does not particularly give restaurant vibes more like bar vibes. Regardless the server, Immanuel, was very polite and helpful in recommending options from the food menu. He was proud to share that these are authentic meals from his country. It definitely is authentic.
The food is absolutely incredible!! I had a very VERY large plate piled high with rice and marinated lamb, called Shaya. I could only eat 1/3 of that huge plate! Absolutely divine. Absolutely Delicious.
If you are open to experiencing different cultures and different foods. Give this place a shot. I highly recommend it.
Thanks so much Immanuel, we will be back next time we visit Sioux Falls.

Showed up for lunch at open. Nobody showed for a whole hour. When they did, owner was mega rude. Don’t waste your time.
