Loved the old brick building. Great pizza, loved the crust, and not too oily. No complaints but I wish they had a different dessert (like tiramisu, cake, cannoli, etc). 100% will go again!

Absolute little gem pizzeria nestled in the cutest small town of Wilkeson, WA. Ordered the mushroom pizza (no shortage of goodness and flavor, mushroom lovers delight!) and another with shishito peppers, sausage and red sauce, little kick was welcomed – both incredible. Loved the quaintness and original wood work of the building and being able to watch the pizza oven cook the pizzas at the end of the bar! Unique experience and great night out! Worth the drive + will be back! Picture sucks but we were hungry and nearly forgot!

We decided to do a little drive towards Rainier and stopped by the Carlson Block for pizza, and we are so happy we did. Not only was the service super friendly but the pizza was delicious. We started with their Cesar salad which was honestly a perfect balance of ingredients. We then shared a pizza with half sausage and fennel then half brussel sprouts and bacon. Though not your standard toppings, these were fantastic. Honestly, some of my favorite pizza. We will definitely be back.

We stopped by around 4:30 on a Saturday and beat the rush and there is plenty of parking around.

These people and their patrons care about the pizza experience. Spencer working behind the counter was very friendly and engaging with everyone that came in during my visit. The pizza was a delicious, wood fired, sour dough crust pie cooked to perfection. The building (circa 1910) was charming and clean. Definitely worth a drive to Wilkerson to perform your own taste test, but beware that they sometimes run out of crust later on weekends and other busy nights.

This is the best pizza I’ve ever had. You can’t beat fresh sourdough crust. If there is a wait, I can assure you its worth it! You MUST go there.

The food was great, pizza was flavorful, and the sourdough was light and airy. Fresh ingredients and great taste. The service and seating could use some work. It’s on a first come basis so if there are no seats you have to wait around for something to open up. Overall a great food spot with good vibes. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Lovely lil place in a beautiful 100+ year old building. Plus a scenic ride out to this charming area.
Our first visit here and we will be back! The place was empty when we showed up but it filled up quick. It’s a walk-up-to-the-counter-to-order and then find a seat and wait place. The wait was just a couple minutes for our Caesar salads and they were VERY fresh. I felt like all the ingredients had just been made for us.
The pizza crust is from a sourdough recipe. My hubby doesn’t even like bread but he finished off his crust quickly. The pizza itself tasted great. The ingredients felt hand-picked and weren’t greasy or dull. That cheese was so delicious! I think one cheese is made by the owners? And we didn’t get sausage but another couple near us said the owners make that too and it’s their favorite. One pizza was enough for the 2 of us. I think this pizza is classy enough for fine dining but also tasty enough for guys chugging beers and watching football.
The old brick building had a rustic feel and was clean. The staff was super friendly and had great recommendations for guests. They do serve beer, wine, and soda by the bottle. We didn’t have room for dessert but heard it is yummy and they make a limited amount daily. Casual dining.

My son lives 10mins away from Carlson Block — he had been hearing good reviews from people in the area so we decided to give it shot

We were NOT disappointed!

The small shop was very busy when we arrived. They only make a certain # of pizzas a day — we ended up being the 2nd to last order before they ran out.

The pizza is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.
My Daughter and I ate at the World Famous Tony’s Napoletana in San Francisco this past Summer — Carlson Block is as Good, IF NOT BETTER, than Tony’s!!

Carlson’s crust is near perfection, their sauce is strong and very flavorful and their topping are very high quality — REALLY enjoyed their Sausage & Shitshito pie!

DO NOT MISS OUT on their homemade ice cream if you visit Carlson!! The flavor they had for our happy Holiday visit was carmel cookie batter — hands down the best ice cream we’ve had!!

Keep doing what you do Carlson Block!
