Great food, reasonable pricing, and service was really good especially w the crowd of Blazer fans coming in right after us. Big groups welcomed, but remember there will be a gratuity added.

Fresh and delicious! I also grabbed a jar of their Salad DRESSING on the way out, different sizes available. Friendly, knowledgeable staff; skilled chefs. Our waitress was/is a 16 years-sushi-shef (who TEACHES SUSHI technique)! Lunch specials! Delivery available. Wheelchair disability ramp, Street parking, and Trimet bus (mass-transit) line picks up right outside.

It’s really good above average sushi. Like I would say better than mio sushi or bamboo sushi. A little on the pricier side for what it was, but it’s a really good basic spot.
Umami salmon ⭐⭐⭐
– I couldn’t really taste the difference between this and a normal nigiri, and I’m not sure if it’s because I have a trash pallette
– I am not sure if it was missing a paste or a flavor here that would have screamed umami
Sake sashimi ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– what you’d expect
– it’s good salmon but not mind blowing
– for it to be mindblowing for us we need it to be fatty bc it’s just so decadent.
Uni ⭐⭐✨
– didn’t love it this time but my boyfriend rated it a 5/5 bc he usually doesn’t like uni but loved this one
– I’m wondering if this was user error on my side, I was so hungry I dipped the sushi rice first which is always a no no
– my main issue was how seafood or salty it tasted, despite uni being my favorite sushi ever

– basically a soup, a little more watery than I’m used to but I like it
– pork was delicious but it was a little too dry for us
– we appreciate how crispy it was but we’ve had crispy and juicy pork in Japan before and know it’s possible
– wish there was veg

For their size, they have a great selection of beers on tap. The menu is simple, with ample sushi selections for the day.
The service is great, and the sushi chef is friendly and facilitating.

My partner and I have been coming to this location for 15 years. It’s consistently been very good. Sushi that shoots above its price, regarding the quality. Last night we came in and got an assortment of nigiri, a couple rolls, and uni. The chef was thoughtful about what order he prepared everything, the meal finishing with the uni. Everything was delicious. For the amount of money spent, it’s difficult for us to think of a place that would be as satisfying.

Assorted deluxe nigiri was quite a treat. Everything was fresh and flavorful. You can simulate a mini omakase experience without breaking the bank. Eel was my favorite.

Real authentic Japanese cuisine. You can tell when they have free Japanese publications (city guides). They have futomaki! Yakiniku don! You don’t find these dishes in most other restaurants. Everything we ordered was tasty. Definitely want to go again.

Best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to. Fish is high quality, fresh, presented beautifully, and won’t break your bank. The deluxe assorted sushi is currently $35. Bento box lunch special is delicious as well.

This an authentic Japanese restaurant that has apparently been in Portland for many years. I had the beef curry with udon noodles and it was delicious. Addictively delicious! At first I thought it was a little too soupy, but I was wrong, it was perfect. The best curry I’ve had since coming to Portland 2 years ago. My daughter had the miso pork cutlet and it was really tender. The staff was so kind and attentive. We will definitely go again. The man at the table next to us, told the waitress the same thing. Unfortunately, I ate the noodles before I remembered to take a picture.
