Great spacious and calming environment . Service is fine . Food : presentation and quantity is ample. Tea: presentation is great. Flavor is unfortunately not up to par . If an establishment has chai in its name – it MUST produce a tea that is superlative to the saturated Indian food market in the Seattle Bellevue area . For example, another older establishment in the area has an “Irani chai” that is absolutely spectacular and unfortunately better than what we had today. This wasn’t bad – to be clear – but it was forgettable- serving in a classic earthen cup is not enough – the flavor has to compel and this was perfectly fine, but not amazing . Food: similar critiques- tasty but not amazing or differentiating. As a Bengali who just recently returned from a trip to Kolkata I found the Kachori and Kathi rolls to be average and not something I’d necessarily crave again, which is disappointing. Specifically the Kati roll was too soggy and saturated in sauce and veggies. Kolkata Kati rolls have hot and flavorful paratha with flavorful but relatively dry filling . The best parts that I enjoyed thoroughly – the vegetable cutlet and the fish fry / pakora. I was disappointed when I asked about luchi and aloor dom and told that it’s not available…. This is a classic Indian restaurant situation where items are advertised and then not available – creates immediate customer disappointment and hurts the brand . I really want this place to excel and I hope they pay closer attention to their chai and some of their other Bengali offerings which were ok but not amazing . I do think this place risks trying to be too may things (too many menu options ) which makes it really hard to be good at any one thing consistently . There are enough places in the area that serve veggie and North Indian and Hakka Chinese ….. consider focusing on flavors and items that are not commonly offered yet craved ….. having. Said all this I will come back and try again. Maybe the next batch of tea will be more memorable ?

A friend of mine suggested I try Chai N More, so I stopped by recently. I ordered the chicken kheema dosa, kesar chai, and malai chai. The chai honestly stood out the most. It’s probably the best chai I’ve had in Seattle so far. Both the kesar chai and malai chai were really flavorful and comforting.

The chicken kheema dosa was also really good. Nice and crispy with a flavorful filling. Everything felt fresh and well made.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made the visit even better. They also have something called clay chai on the menu, which sounds interesting and I’ll definitely try next time.

Only downside is parking. It’s extremely limited and the spots behind the building are tiny, so it can be a bit tricky. But if you enjoy good chai, it’s definitely worth checking out.

This is a nice place to have really the best chai in and around Seattle. We tried Kadak Chai and Masala chai and I would must recommend this to give your love to this place.
I am die-hard ginger tea lover and I generally will have to come back home and prepare Chai again. but this place gave me full satisfaction tea.
We just went after fully loaded lunch. We had Chai and shared 1 samosa. Samosa masala was too good. I felt that the crust could have been thinner but still it was really good. My kid loved the gulab jamun.
If you are looking for a good place for really good chai with an easy ambience, this place is for you.

Mishti Doi is bad. If you are looking for authentic Mishti doi, please do not try this. This is nowhere close to Mishti Doi, its something random, you can see in the picture. This is just a waste of $11. Mango lassi was sour. Paneer burger was average and paneer was hard and rubbery. Desi chai was also average, too much water. Overall not a good experience.

The samosa chaat tasted good and was quite enjoyable. However, the elaichi chai was average, the cardamom flavor was mild, and the tea could be improved with a higher milk-to-water ratio for a richer taste.

Despite the limited options, the food is slightly better. It’s a pretty much a self pick up / bus your table style place.

They have an option of getting chai in a clay cup, which some people might enjoy. For me it was more of an exotic experience.

The counter personnel can come off as cold, or sometimes even borderline rude as they don’t engage in any small talk or provide guidance when asked.

Parking is extremely limited and could be hard to get spots. Parking is in the back and has really tiny spots.

It’s a nice place, and I would recommend trying it if you haven’t already. They offer a good variety of chai, samosas, chaat, dosa, and more. We tried their Malai Chai, samosa, and bread pakora. Everything was freshly made and tasted good.
Right now, it’s a 4-star for me because the chai didn’t quite meet my expectations. Hopefully, next time I visit, the chai will be better and I’ll be happy to update my rating!

We decided to go here because it was the closest chai place to us after getting some groceries. Went in and ordered chai, coffee and some light snacks – which was the intention. We ordered Masala chai, Elaichi chai, coffee, batata wada, Pani Puri, and 3 types of sandwiches. We were impressed by the chai and food and then decided to order some more. I would say that the second order was top notch. We got fish pakora, fried rice and chilli chicken with gravy – every item in this was a 5/5. My family loved the food and the cozy atmosphere of the place. We also got to talk to one of the founders- Shobita and she was very friendly with us.
PS – we were so excited about food that we couldn’t click any pictures of the food

I’ve been coming here since they opened in April 2025 and have probably visited more than 15 times by now. Not once have I left disappointed. The consistency is honestly one of the best parts of this place; every single visit feels just as good as the last.

It’s run by two owners, one of whom is the head chef, and the other manages the front. She’s super kind, always greets you warmly, and if you chat with her for a minute or two, you’ll see how passionate she is about food. The menu has also grown a ton since they first opened, and you can tell that’s because they really listen to what customers want.

AMBIENCE:
– Cozy and casual with clean interiors and bright colors.
– Dessert counter is inviting and fun, though items rotate a bit depending on the day.
– Great spot for a casual chai break or to sit down for a proper meal.

FOOD:
– Poori & Keema: My personal favorite. The chicken keema is very rich, flavorful, and the pooris are always spot on. This is the one dish I’d bet nobody can dislike.
– Palak Poori & Aloo Sabzi: Extremely rare to find Palak Poori in the US. Once you start, it’s tough to stop.
– Matar Kachori & Aloo Sabzi: Super soft crust, and the sabzi is a perfect match. Comforting and well-made.
– Vegetable Cutlet (2 pcs): Loved this. Crisp outside, beet and potato balanced really well inside.
– Keema Pav: Extremely good, using the same keema from the Poori & Keema. The pav itself is on the sweeter side, which isn’t my preference, but others might enjoy it.
– Bombay Sandwich: Quite close to what you’d find in Mumbai. Brings back memories.
– Vada Pav: A really good version. Not Mumbai-style, but they never claimed it was. For what it is, it’s an amazing generic Vada Pav.
– Pav Bhaji: Decent, flavorful, and filling. Nothing extraordinary.
– Pepper Chicken: Extremely good, packed with flavor. I wouldn’t recommend it for takeout, but fresh at the café, it’s fantastic.
– Egg Hakka Noodles: Really good, but Pepper Chicken is the star of their Indo-Chinese. Same deal here, better fresh than to-go.
– Samosa Chaat: Fine, nothing too special, but still tasty.
– Paani Poori: Decent, fresh, and crisp. Fun to share.
– Bread Pakoda: Just okay, not one of the stronger items.
– Kesar Chai: Good and enjoyable. You can see the saffron and actually smell and taste it.

DESSERTS:
I should mention upfront that I’m not a big connoisseur of Indian desserts, so these are pretty personal takes.
– Mango Shrikhand: Really good once, just okay another time. A little inconsistent.
– Tiramisu: Surprisingly good, probably seasonal. Definitely worth trying if it’s available.
– Rasmalai Cake: Below average for me, but I’m not a Rasmalai fan in general, so Rasmalai lovers might enjoy it more.
– Mishti Doi: Didn’t fully suit my taste buds, but it’s a rare dessert in the US and could be enjoyable if you like traditional Bengali sweets.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
“Chai N More” is one of the rare cafés that gets it right. The food is made with care, the menu keeps evolving, and the people behind it make you feel welcome every time. If you’re in Bellevue and craving Indian café-style comfort food, this place should be on your list.
