Frittata was amazing. There for breakfast when it was about 75% full. They were understaffed but the waitress was kind and fast. Even with that I was in and out in 35 mins. Coffee was strong and good.

Mostly positive. I showed up a little before 10 for breakfast, and the waitress warned me and another table as we were ordering that they were winding down breakfast service to end at 10:30. Which was fine, I ordered right around 10, but when it got to be 10:20 and I hadn’t seen my waitress in a few minutes, I was starting to worry that they’d forgot my order and I wouldn’t be able to get it before breakfast ended… but shortly after that my food came out. It was a slightly longer wait than I expected, but I don’t go to a sit-down restaurant in an airport when I’m in a hurry, so not a big deal.
The limoncello French toast was actually very good. I appreciated that they had something a little unique on the menu. The bread kind of looked like sandwich bread, and maybe it was, but it was better than it looked, and the limoncello mascarpone was delicious. It could’ve used more berries. Berries were scarce on one slice and the other side had plenty of blueberries but not many strawberry pieces. My main complaint was that the two pieces of sandwich-sized toast were $17. I account for airport inflation when I give ratings but this was still more expensive than I would have expected even in this context.
I also had a pineapple ginger cooler to drink, a mocktail with agave, pineapple and ginger juices, and soda water. Pretty good, and nice presentation garnished with a few pieces of candied ginger. Also expensive for what it was at $12.
Further pushing the airport inflation, the suggested tips on the receipt and machine were 20%, 22%, and 24%. Delusional options anywhere, let alone an airport. You do have the option to put in your own tip so they’re not exactly forcing you to tip that high, but preying on the people who don’t pay attention and just press the low middle or high button.
The place is classy and kept clean. My waitress was very polite and, while the food took a little long, I didn’t have to wait around for her to bring the card reader to me to pay, so it was expedient getting out after I’d finished eating.

The pizza we ate here while waiting for our flight was very delicious! Service was great, and we enjoyed sitting at the bar right near the pizza oven and watching our pizza is being made.

We were at Detroit Metro Airport and stopped at Andiamo Italian for a quick lunch. My wife had the ravioli, and I ordered the chicken panini—both dishes were of good quality. Not quite high-end Italian, but definitely solid and satisfying for airport fare.

The real standout was the chocolate cake—rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Easily the highlight of the meal.

Service was just okay. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, but they got the job done. Prices were reasonable for an airport setting.

Overall, a decent place to grab a bite if you’re flying through DTW

Just had a really nice dinner here, and the highlight was our wonderful waitress, Trang! She had the most infectious smile, a fantastic attitude, and provided truly great service from start to finish. She made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Food was solid too, but Trang’s energy definitely made it memorable. Highly recommend—especially if she’s working! Thanks, Trang!

Digital menu on the wall before walking into the restaurant had prices. Sat at a table and scanned the QR code for digital menu which had the same prices on digital menu before walking into the restaurant. Server came over and handed me a paper menu and said the other menus are not correct. The paper menu had prices $3 more per meal. I feel taken advantage of since I had already sat down and got a drink before I was told. My wife was upset and wanted to leave but I said no we have already sat down. Then the server didn’t have all the ingredients for the meal and they gave me frozen tater tots instead. Bad business practice for one of our family favorite restaurants. Probably won’t go anymore to the one near our home. I realize this is at the airport but it’s still one of their restaurants and their name on the wall. I would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible experience.

In a regular setting, this would probably land around a 3.2—but for airport dining, Andiamo holds its own. Expectations were low going in (as they usually are when traveling), and this place did just fine.

My wife had the caprese salad—fresh, simple, and enjoyable. I went with the burger, which our waitress recommended. It was decent: slightly overcooked and the bun a bit dry, but overall it got the job done.

Yes, it’s overpriced—but it’s an airport, so that’s par for the course. All in all, it was a decent spot to grab a bite during a layover. Four stars, mostly because we walked in with realistic expectations.

Giving this place two stars solely due to the friendly and caring service. The food was absolutely terrible, and our server made it right in the end, even without us asking for anything. We still ate our food because we needed to make our flights, but it was all really bad. We were told that the manager was looking into it to address the issues, and I hope that they do. With charging $30 for a pasta and $20 for a personal size pizza, they have to be good, despite it being an airport restaurant. Hopefully they can address the issues and provide food that is on par with the great service.

Dropped in here for lunch, there were plenty of tables available, you seat yourself. Table service was excellent with a great server. The food was good, but the pizzas are small. A bit pricey for the portion size, but it is an airport restaurant, so expected. Will drop by again when at DTW.

Seriously underwhelmed. The airport restaurant is not up to the quality of the stand alone restaurants. The tables hadn’t even been wiped down.

Limited menu, BTW.

I paid $29 for a decent portion of lasagna. It was ok. Not great, just reasonably good. But that’s all I got. A hunk of lasagna. For $29! No salad. No bread with olive oil. Nothing!

If everything is going to be ala carte, that’s fine, but the prices have to be reasonable. Oh, and ala carte restaurants need to have outstanding quality, flavor, and presentation. This property failed on all counts.
