This was our first visit to Don Cha, and my family and I truly enjoy trying food from different cultures — we’re big foodies, so we love exploring new places.
When you arrive, the patio entrance area is really cute and would probably be lovely to sit at on a nice day. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case the day we went, so we chose to sit inside. The bar area to the right when you walk in is nice, and the restaurant itself is very clean, but the dining area felt a bit too open for our taste, which is why we gave a 3-star rating for atmosphere.
Our waitress was very friendly and did a great job explaining the menu and recommending her favorite entrées. My husband ordered the fan-favorite Lomo Saltado a Lo Pobre, and in all of our opinions, that was hands down the best dish at the table.
We didn’t get to try dessert, but our waitress told us they make them in-house and offer different options weekly, which was nice to hear.
I’m giving the food a 3 strictly based on our experience: the chicken fried rice was lacking seasoning (just our opinion), my oldest ordered the pork belly — definitely an acquired taste — and I had the sirloin strips with plantains and yuca. The plantains were great, but the steak and yuca were also a bit under-seasoned for me.

Overall, it was still a good experience, and we’re glad we got the chance to try Don Cha.

We visited Peru in August of 2025 and loved the cuisine. So happy to have found this Peruvian restaurant on our 1 week vacation to Pensacola from Virginia.
I forgot to take pics from our first visit, but on our second visit and after finding out they’re pet friendly we went a second time with our pup Luna.
Their outdoor patio is very welcoming. It has a water feature with goldfish pond.
Our host and waitress were very sweet, helpful and friendly.
We ordered the tiradito al ají amarillo. It was one of the best we’ve ever had. They give you the option on how spicy you want it. We can literally order this dish everyday.
We also order the chaufa de pollo, kids size, for our daughter and chaufa de la casa. Both were delicious and the rice was cooked to perfection.
We had chicha morada and a maracuya sour, we enjoyed both very much.
We felt like we were back in Peru having dinner again.
We wish we lived here so we can come and enjoy mores of their delicious dishes.

Oh my goodness!! Great food, great service! From the minute we walked in Carlos greeted us at the front, we sat at the bar. Carlos gave us great recommendation’s on beer and food. We chose the picnic for 2. It was delicious, some of the sauces were Very Hot! The meat was moist and had a I Want More flavour. The beers were very enjoyable and ICE COLD, in a Frosty Glass. We highly recommend! Thank you Carlos and Stephanie for an enjoyable experience. Come on out ya’ll!

Came in for lunch and loved everything about this place. The staff are super friendly, they let me try some Peruvian liquor and different teas. Highly recommend the teas! I had a seafood dish with octopus, shrimp, calamari, mussels and rice… loved, loved, loved it!!! I am only in town for 3 days but I guarantee I will be eating here again!

Best hidden gem in town! The food and service is 10/10. Menu seems intimidating… but is far from it! So many choices to choose from. Seafood, steak, chicken, soups, and vegetarian dishes. They also have a good amount of gluten free options. Adding pictures from all my visits .

We were invited here by a neighbor, whose wife is Peruvian. The staff all speak perfect english so it’s easy to order and ask questions.

The owner greeted us at the table and explained the nature of Peruvian cuisine (not spicy by default), and he added that everything on the menu except a couple things can be made gluten free (I am celiac). They are knowledgeable on all allergy issues, and I had no problem at all.

The food was delicious all around. I had the lomo saltado which I never had before. It was superb and I would order it again. No celiac reaction.

Arrive hungry. Portions are substantial. I would call them “thanksgiving sized.”

Overall a really great experience and we will be going back.

We had the most enjoyable experience! Carlos helped guide us through the menu and made some great recommendations. We ordered lomo saltado and one of the beef stews. Both absolutely phenomenal. We sampled three teas (all were great) and ordered two full glasses which were great accompaniments with the food. We also tried yucas while waiting for our meal and this is a must order! Think big delicious french fries!
Great service, amazing food, and very reasonable prices. Come try it if you haven’t!
