1st time! Restaurant smells funny. Food is cooked fresh as ordered! The catfish wasn’t really seasoned. It also didn’t look or taste like catfish! I think it was Swai!! The fried mushrooms were excellent. The fried okra was decent.

The food was cooked fresh but the fish need little more cooking time and seasoning to the fish or meal batter because the fish taste like flat out water and I am assuming it is soaking in water all day in the refrigerator so I understand but add little more seasoning. The guy at front counter very courteous and did acknowledge everyone that came inside the restaurant which I like and he did not have no attitude, he was not rushing, and not playing on his phone an for that I will eat there again.

I haven’t been to captain jjs in a couple of years. And man, have they went downhill. The only thing i would probably buy from here is their hot wings.They barely season the fries after i told them to season well. It taste bland and plain. They honey hot is nasty. They barely had any sauce and the little sauce they did have on there taste like they just mixed actual honey and hot sauce together. If you want some fye go to jr fish and chicken. Specifically, the one on Riverdale. They always come on point.

Amazing place. The wings were not just normal wings. It was the best chicken I had tasted in my life. The catfish was also very good and makes a killer combo with hot sauce. The owner treated me like family and I definitely will be coming back again!
