What an incredible dining experience. Every bite was full of flavor, with the food cooked to perfection and wonderfully seasoned. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. This is one of those rare places that makes you excited to return again and again.

Mori Teppan Grill is one of those mom-and-pop gems you just have to experience. The walls are covered in photos and history, with legends like Muhammad Ali among them.

What makes it truly special is Mori himself…he greets almost everyone personally, and his care for the food and customer experience hasn’t changed over the years. The food quality is consistently excellent and the atmosphere is really welcoming. 5/5.

Mori’s – A Legendary Experience Etched in Time

There’s something timeless about Mori’s. It’s not just the food – it’s the feeling. From the moment we walked in, Mori himself greeted us and helped us get settled. A legend in his own right, his presence added a deeply personal touch that made the meal feel like more than just dinner – it felt like a tradition.

My mom was visiting from out of town, and this was one of the first places on our list. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked – tender and flavorful. The vegetables and rice were simple but done just right.

But what really stood out – beyond the food – were the walls. Lined with photos, memories, and drawings created by children who’ve passed through these doors, the restaurant tells a quiet story of community, connection, and legacy.

It’s clear Mori’s is more than a restaurant – it’s a place where families return, time and time again.

Overall, a very good experience. A solid 4 out of 5 – only because I know that next time, there’s a chance it could be even better.

Answer your damn phone.

We called 37 times between 430-6 no answer or busy signal. Like they took the phone off the hook. Drove over to see about making a reservation. No host in sight. And big signs saying bookings full. Waiting a few minutes and no host. There was a group in front of us too and they seem to have been waiting awhile.

Would never return due to terrible service on a busy week. It was a Tuesday between Christmas and new years.

When I say this place is a hidden gem, I can’t emphasize that enough. An incredible experience with engaging, attentive staff that are enthusiastic to serve you.
The chefs offer great entertainment and witty remarks that make it fun. Best restaurant I have experienced in years. Bravo

Typical hibachi in my opinion and people seem to love this place, but I got to tell you our chef did not put on a memorable show. I am not even sure our chef enjoyed being there. Also, the restaurant can use some upgrades (renovate the bathrooms and install new flooring throughout). In all, the experience was nothing special and I hope other patrons enjoy the experience more than we did. The portions were big and the food was good on a positive note.

I have been regularly coming here for a couple last years and I love this place.

I usually go for fillet mignon because it turns out to be so juicy and tender.

My boyfriend gets fillet with sea food options. Scallop and lobster tail.

I absolutely love their ginger dressing!

Each time I promise myself that I’ll skip on a fried rice, by always end up eating it, because it is good!

They sell beers in pitchers that completes the meal!

Always a great dinner!

Highly recommended!

We wanted teppanyaki on a recent trip to LA and stumbled onto Mori. After multiple attempts to call and no one answering we showed up around 7pm and were able to get seated on a fairly busy dinner seating.
Our chef didn’t put on much of a show, but I’m more interested in the good than the show. I had the NY and chicken, my wife the NY and shrimp. The food was cooked well and the amount of steak and chicken I got was way more than I could eat (although much appreciated given how many palaces are shrinking portions). I knocked off a star as the seasoning was lacking and the only veggies you get are onions and zucchini.
We were pleasantly surprised with the prices, which for LA seemed like a steal.

We had a really great experience here! Our chef was very funny and interactive with my nephew, he was able to catch a piece of egg in his mouth which was really fun for him. Overall though the fried rice needed more egg and they don’t have the hibachi noodles but everything else was great!

This place was solid. Not great but good food. I travel a lot and explore tipping yaki grills quite often. It was great for the price and the quality of the food. The stake was juice and well cooked. The fried rice could use a hint of bacon. I would come back if other options were limited. The staff was great and attentive and the chef was entertaining. That alone was a great part of the experience.
