Decided to try this place out and the online menu prices weren’t right. Was told to look at the updated menu which was the same prices. My wife called up there and she was told if you don’t wanna come back dont come back and hung up on her. Was told 7.95 for a sausage egg and cheese sandwich 7.95 for plane biscuits and gravy 12.95 for two eggs toast and hash browns. 31 bucks for two people to eat breakfast. Wouldn’t have left this review but she was rude about it and hung up on us. Not how you’d think a first try would go. If you have a business having the right prices on your online menu should be priority. Never been treated so rudely for something that was their fault. Won’t be back and I’ll stick with American table.

Food is excellent. They will even make items not on the menu.
Tom’s homemade spam it wonderful!

Try his Royal Spam sandwich … made to order with a grilled pineapple slice. With a grilled pineapple slice, it could be called the Hawaiian Todd sandwich…

Tom and Emily really take care of their new and frequent customers.

The Palace is an excellent little establishment that has a unique feel that captures the real feel of a “retro” diner. It is a shotgun style building, so seating capacity is a bit limited with the emphasis really being on the bar side of things.

The cheeseburger I got was really quite tasty, and the speed wasn’t too terrible, though a little on the slower side. Expect around a 20-30 minute wait time is what we found out. Our waitress was a little absent from us, but we were sitting a table and not at the bar where it seems the focus is mainly at.

Overall a cool atmosphere and decent food for a mom and pop store. I would go back if I was looking for a small place to eat at in the area.

Neat place BUT watch your bill!!!

Husband and I ordered the rise and shine breakfast for $7.95 (each) with water to drink only, for a total of $15.90. Yet we were charged $19.15. Not sure where the other $3.25 came from but didn’t notice this until we left. And that did not include the tax.

Toast a little heavy on the butter and sausage link slightly undercooked.

I will not come back here.

Stopped in on our trip from Olney, Il. The staff was super friendly, the food was great. We both had cheese burger and fries fixed just the way we ask.
Inside is cute and clean!
The owner also gave us a short history of the place, which I always think is cool to know.
If you are in Prinston, Indiana looking for a place to stop for a bite, I highly suggest you try them out. Reasonable prices, good food, and friendly staff.

This is an old school diner place that focuses on breakfast and they do it well.

Set in the square of downtown Princeton, The Palace Cafe offers that retro fell of a 50’s 60’s diner where the food is made from quality ingredients and cooked to order. You can expect your food to be hot and your service to be warm and friendly.

The prices on their meal are actually some of the best I have seen and you can get your belly extremely full for a price that is not going to hit the pocket book.

I am a vast fan of eggs cooked almost any style so I felt the need to try them out scrambled and sunny side up. Both cooked to perfection in my book while the sausage patty was delicious and thick.

If you are in the area I recommend checking this place out. If you live in Princeton then you already know.

Tip: have your qr scanner ready to go to access a hands free digital menu. Great idea during these trying times.
