I had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had here. My order was completely wrong, so I politely let the waitress know. A few minutes later, she came back with the same plate and said, “The owner said if you want the order remade, you’ll have to order it again and pay for both orders.”
Naturally, we asked to speak with the owner directly, but he refused to come to our table. Instead, he sent a lady manager over who immediately began arguing with us, repeating that we’d have to pay for the wrong order and then pay again for the correct one. Her reasoning? “Well, they made this one.”
I told her she could come up with a hundred excuses, but there’s absolutely no excuse for trying to make a customer pay for two meals just to get what they initially ordered.
There is nothing like having food you don’t want forced on you — to pay for it, eat it, or at least take it home with you. After all that, the manager still asked if we wanted the wrong order boxed up to go. Absolutely not. We didn’t want it then, and we definitely didn’t want it later. They were determined to make us pay for this wrong order.
In the end, we didn’t order a remake and we didn’t pay for the wrong order. It was hands down one of the most awkward restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I was so ready to leave and just get out of there — and honestly, now it’s super awkward to even think about going back.
Why would I give this place my money?
Thank you for being our neighborhood pizza joint!
