We’ve been loyal patrons of Imbibe Bottle House and Taproom for years — attending trivia nights, earning loyalty points, bringing friends, and always enjoying the space. Unfortunately, after our most recent experience, we won’t be returning.
This was our first outing as new parents with our 2-week-old baby. Our understanding is that Washington law allows babies in breweries/taprooms at the business’s discretion, and we didn’t see anything on their website about a “21 and over only” policy. While there are posted signs, we mistakenly assumed it applied to the indoor space, not the outdoor patio.
When we sat down, an employee came over and told us our baby couldn’t be there. While we accept the policy, the way it was handled was extremely disappointing. Instead of quietly and kindly explaining, he spoke loudly and sarcastically (“Oh really, you didn’t think so? What, is he over 21?”) in front of other patrons. As a brand-new mom finally brave enough to leave the house, I left in tears and felt so ashamed.
Every establishment has the right to set their own rules. But kindness and empathy are free — and sadly, that’s what was missing here. For any parents considering a visit: please know, no one under 21 is allowed here, not even newborns.

I went for a day trip to Franklin Falls and was craving for some local brew, then stumbled upon this hidden gem.
With a great selection of brews, I chose the Belching Beaver, peanut butter flavored porter. What an amazing taste and fragrance!!! An awesome spot to hang with friends after a day trip hiking or skiing/snowboarding.
Overall, a great spot to wind down and to hang out with buddies while enjoying some snacks from their menu. Atmosphere is amazing while they have channels to view sports. A definite mention!!!

A great range of beers on tap, and literally hundred of different beers from independent microbreweries in the region and beyond. Dog friendly on the heated deck. The best trivia for 25 miles around…. no app, no screens, just good old pen and paper and you don’t have to grade the other teams.

Nice space and good selection, however, we were met with a really rude & surly employee on 11/28. She was nice to the regulars at the bar, but from start to finish during our visit, she was a jerk to all three of us. Couldn’t figure out why. This has been a regular stop when we’re driving through the area. Probably not anymore.

Solid brewpub. Good beer selection and a fun appetizer menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and the servers were friendly. Recommend this place for a glass or flight of beer.

Great vibe, friendly staff. Dina was super friendly She offered me great suggestions for drinks and also had great service. This is the type of place I love to find when I’m traveling, Angie, who is a bar owner here was also very friendly when answering my questions about the location. I’ll definitely come back if I’m in the area again!

Don’t know why we haven’t found this place before now! We live out of town but visit family in Maple valley every once in awhile and next time we are in town we are definitely going back here. Great selection of beers and an amazing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Hands down, my favorite place to enjoy beers. Their menu of local and regional beers is second to none. Whatever kind of beer you like, there is something for everyone. The pretzels are also quite good. Highly recommend!
