Flew 2800 miles for Gino’s and it did not disappoint. I was hoping for that Gino’s I grew up on and I got it! My sandwich was delicious. I really like the bread they use for hoagies. I could tell everything was fresh. I sat at the bar while I ate and the service was great. The bartender was very kind and made sure I felt welcomed. The dining room is beautiful and they have a full bottle cellar that allows you to pick your next cold beer. 10/10 all around. Thank you Ginos

Their calzones have gotten smaller, but price is higher. I understand prices going higher, but don’t make thefood smaller portions.

I’m not in Sharpsburg very often, but I was craving a calzone while passing by, so why not give Gino Bros a try? After all, there aren’t too many pizza shops in Sharpsburg when compared to other areas in Pittsburgh. I got their regular cheese calzone (build your own) and the Oreo cheesecake.
The calzone was very good. When I first got the box, I felt a little disappointed with the portion. However, after actually eating it, the portion was okay for the price. There’s definitely other places that give better bang for your buck, though. It’s $13 for only 10 inches.
The crust was lovely. It had a great dusting of cheese on top. Plus, I love that it was still a bit crispy when I got my order. The crunch elevated it. There was a fair amount of cheese inside. A bit heavier on the mozzarella and provolone and less ricotta than in other places. Tomato sauce was inside the calzone but didn’t make it soggy. It was on the sweeter side and there wasn’t too much of it.
The dessert was definitely not their strength. It tasted like a very standard food service cheesecake, not a delicious, creamy homemade variety. It was oddly bland and lacked the sweetness I expected; plus its texture was a bit off too. The crust was okay, but I would recommend skipping dessert (especially since this was $6).
All in all, this was a great calzone. It was a bit smaller than in most other places, but it’s high quality. If you’re in Sharpsburg, it’s worth a try. Just order dessert from somewhere else.

I was a little concerned that there was nobody there on a Friday evening and found out why when I tired the pizza. It wasn’t terrible but on par taste wise with a decent frozen pizza, think Digiorno’s. I also felt a little misled by the 16 cut pie. I was expecting an extra large pie but it was a regular size just cut in really small slices.

Staff touched a dog and then served my food without washing their hands. Absolutely disgusting. Asked for ketchup and was rudely refused. I’m a regular and was treated with zero respect. Unsanitary, unprofessional, and unacceptable.

My Italian Hoagie consisted of 1 piece of meat and the rest was all a MOUND of lettuce and onions to cover the single slice of ham!
My friend ordered a Meatball Hoagie! It contained mini meatballs sliced in half, hidden with cheese and a tablespoon of sauce!
Provolone Sticks were like chewing on rubber!! I could have thrown them against the wall, and they would have bounced back on my plate!
Another couple was there and complained that her Hoagie was very cold and not cooked!
So it wasn’t just me!!

Id give this place 10 stars if i could, absolutely delicious! The crust is like a donut in texture not dense like some places. We had their signature pizza, an added banana peppers. Probably the best pizza ive ever had in my life! Thank you!

Ordered delivery a month later sadly to say, not worth what I ordered before. Philly steak pizza , I ordered extra onions NOT extra tomatoes, spent more time picking the nasty tomatoes off. ND THE mild nd wings … soggy.. taste like they cooked them in the microwave. Will not be ordering from them again any t8me soon.
