First time here, visiting for Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was good and nicely presented. I ordered the French pork chop, my husband had the short rib, and my son chose the butcher’s hanger steak. We all enjoyed our meals, everything was well prepared and flavorful.

The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. My water glass was never empty, which I always appreciate.

Overall, a pleasant first visit and a solid choice for a nice dinner out.

Haven’t been back for a while, looking forward to going back again. The salad was good and the burger was nice. It’s a nice place to catch up with a friend if you want a nice place to chat and eat. The atmosphere is very easy and comfortable.

We have been here several times and the food never disappoints!! The risotto dish is spectacular. Not pictured is their eggplant rollatini which is the best we have ever had!! A must order. Cocktails are great and fairly priced. Don’t miss this place!

This place was awesome. After our bike ride at Chimney Rock, we did a quick Google search and voila a few minutes down the road. We got there right when they opened. It is on a major road with plenty of parking in the rear. The staff at this shift were very accommodating.

They sat us in the front of the building. Which looked like a new addition. Empty wine glasses where out this place looked snazzy.

The majority of the group ordered the Brisket sandwich while two odd balls ordered the burger. The burger looked juicy.

The brisket was tasty, but the amount of fries we all got were disappointing. I wouldn’t even say just right. More fries would of been appreciated.

Will come again if I am in town to try other dishes.

So bad. Service was terrible. When I asked for a box, the waiter handed me the box and my finger was cut and bleeding from the takeout box.

I was bleeding from my finger.

On top of that, waiter rushed to order for me and didn’t bother asking if I wanted the fig crostini. He ordered for me, saying it’s good.

I didn’t ask for the fig crostini. I asked about the fig crostini but he ordered for me.

Order chicken special and it was sour. So sour with artichokes. Had garlic and I can’t have garlic.

I didn’t like my food at all. I ordered a chicken special and it was extremely
Sour. Had garlic when I couldn’t have garlic.

I got an appetizer I didn’t want, and a paper cut on my finger and my finger bled. And bad sour chicken with garlic when server knows I can’t have garlic.

The staff was amazing. Enis went above and beyond to make something happen for us that he had no idea prior as to why. He just did it. He really did make a special thing happen. Our lunch was amazing and our server Alton was attentive, polite and friendly. The whole experience was great. 1st x eating here, great recommendation from a cousin who also loves it here.

Edited to update (2026):
We did notice portion sizes for expensive plates were significantly smaller than other entrees. Understandable that beef is pricey, but sides were also quite sparse. It was very noticeable. Given that food is the most important factor, I’ve deducted a star from my initial review. I still recommend this restaurant – I hope they see this and are less skimpy with the sides on their more expensive plates. It came off to me as unbalanced.

Just came here for the first time because I was nearby and wanted a nice dinner. I was completely caught off guard by how excellent everything was. All the dishes were flavorful, balanced, and presented beautifully. I got a mixed drink that was absolutely perfect. Service cared for us like we were the only people in the restaurant as dinner rush was starting on a Friday night. Atmosphere was a lot better than I expected, given the location. I highly recommend this place.

This place is awesome. Delicious food. Nice, cozy, cute atmosphere. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. The steaks are super professionally cooked. The crab cake was amazing and the linguine and clams was really
Flavorful and filling. Great service including valet parking. Great place for a date night. I’d like to go back for the lunch menu and try a few things

This was our first time here. We started with the classic Caesar salad and signature fried calamari. The calamari was very delicious and well balanced! The Caesar salad wasn’t really for us. You could tell the dressing was house made – but perhaps because of that the balance was off and made the salad hard to eat. For mains we got the tavern orecchiette and the butchers hangar steak. The pasta was alright but perhaps needed something more to make it more interesting. The steak was requested medium rare, but arrived medium. The marinade was super delicious. The potatoes needed seasoning as they did not have much flavor. For drinks we ordered an amaretto sour and Martinsville sour. The martinsville was very tasty and made well. The amaretto was odd. I’m unsure but maybe there were bitters on top because once it was stirred the taste became unpalatable. For dessert we got the skillet cookie. The ice cream was tasty but the cookie had an odd consistency. The service was exceptional with quick attention when needed. The atmosphere was nice, but the tables are close to each other making it easy to overhear other conversations. We probably won’t come back.

Absolutely disgusted with the service. This is now the second time we have dined here with trash service. It took over 45 min of sitting there and then I had to finally ask the waiter where is our food. After 15 min they come back with our entrees slapped together on the plate. It was obvious they had forgotten to put in our order, instead of apologizing or acknowledging it they ignored us. Other waiters at other tables seemed wonderful absolutely doting on their guests. People who arrived after us paid their check as we were still waiting for our entrees. Absolutely disgusted especially for what they charge. Trash
