Very cool place, service was great and food was excellent. Their New York strip hibachi was super tasty, and their sushi was so fresh and they have lots of fun options.

Quick service, excellent food, good portion sizes for the money.
I’m actually not a great fan of sushi in general, but my friend is, and they say the sushi here is excellent. Thing is, there’s also plenty of things here that aren’t sushi. The chicken katsu is quite good, for example, and the teriyaki salmon is excellent. So even if you don’t eat sushi you’ll still have a great meal.

Very cool decor. Food was fair but I heard it had been much better in the past. Sushi was the size of a quarter. Waitstaff was patient and pleasant

Ignore that they still have Christmas/Halloween/Independence Day decorations up from 2018, but I forever love this place. Food is always decent and the service is solid. They recently updated their menu (July 2025)!

One of the cutest and best priced sushi spots in Richmond let alone Shockoe! Was seated quickly and even had our app/drink orders taken quickly by the Jennifer. I was worried we came too late (30 minutes before closing) but they were happy to accommodate my fiancé and I. I definitely plan to come back soon to grab one of their tasty looking bento boxes on lunch some time soon.

Miyabi has been my go-to sushi spot for almost ten years, and I have never had a bad experience. I’ve dined in, had delivery, and taken out.
The fish is always fresh. I legitimately crave half the menu every week. And the people are so personable and lovely. It’s a low-key environment with staff that care about the quality of their food and the comfort of guests.
I could not recommend you try this Main St. treasure more strongly! Just try a delivery order, and you’ll be happy.

Miyabi is an absolute gem of Richmond. My partner and I come every special occasion and it never ever disappoints. The wait staff is always lovely, super fast, and the fish just absolutely melts in your mouth. Amazing food and people! Seriously the best.

This place was great for my day trip to Richmond. The food wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was good, and the menu was inclusive of many dietary restrictions. Our server was kind and the atmosphere was fun and casual. Parking can be difficult.

Not worth it at all. Portion sizes were extremely small for the price. The shrimp nigiri and dynamite roll pieces were tiny, old, dried out and did not taste fresh.
I ordered shrimp gyoza and there was NO shrimp in it at all. Delivery took almost 2 hours, and then the driver pressed me about a tip.
I would not recommend eating here. Will not order again. I will just stick to Kroger’s Sushi Bar.

I was in Richmond for just 24 hours so was restaurant-hopping when I stopped at Miyubi Sushi. The restaurant I had tried for Happy Hour previously was a huge disappointment, so I came here laden with skepticism. All of the waitresses were polite, young, pierced girls, maybe high school or college-aged — none Japanese, which made me initially think, hmm, here we go again…maybe I shouldn’t start with raw sushi…. However! The seaweed salad was amazing. Then, the shrimp tempura roll was also amazing. So I ordered the rainbow roll and white tuna sushi, which were equally fantastic — I maybe did a double-take when tasting the white tuna, it was so delicious. I never do this, but even placed an order for an additional seaweed salad and tuna roll to go, to have more for later. I was very happy and recommend this place enthusiastically!
