There’s a reason why this restaurant has five stars. On my travel from Carson City, Nevada to Akron, Ohio, I stopped in Cheyenne Wyoming to stay the night and subsequently take care of some business. One important thing was to get dinner. I looked on my maps to check out the local cuisine and found Destination Taiwan. The menu was small, but concise and determined. I ordered the TRADITIONAL BEIJING ZHA JIANG MIAN and the green onion flatbread. When they brought the food out to me, the chef advised that I eat the flatbread first while it was hot. When I say everything was absolutely delicious, I’m not joking. This restaurant provided the single motivation for me to return to Cheyenne, Wyoming! What a hidden gem!

Love this little spot!! The owners are so kind and the food is always hot, fresh and delicious. They have a wide variety of buns, from savory to sweet, and they also have delicious teas and the green onion flatbread is my favorite. The black sesame, pork and leek, and purple taro buns are my favorite and I had a mango lychee tea to finish it off. They are cash only but the food and customer service are so worth it.

My partner and I found this place too late whilst we were staying in Cheyenne, but when we did finally discover it, we went 3x within a week.

I’m a sucker for free goodies where we got a taro bun and a tea egg with our multiple orders. The scallion pancake and the pork rice were delicious and authentic and were my fave.

I also enjoyed the milk tea, where the boba was chewy (in a good way!) and the passionfruit tea was light and flavourful.

If we were staying in Cheyenne, we’d come back all the time! Reminder that it’s cash only with very reasonable prices and you’re probs gonna be eating it in your car or if you don’t live too far away at home.

Thank you for bringing a taste of Taiwan to Cheyenne! Don’t miss out on this hut of a gem!

Delicious food and super friendly staff!! I’ve been craving buns/dim sum type food for so long and couldn’t find any anywhere. So glad I randomly stumbled on this place. The food was delicious and affordable. I ended up getting literally one of everything just because I wanted to try it all and I ended up eating every last bite because it was so yummy. The rice noodle pancake is legit amazing. Even the sweet buns, which I’m usually not a fan of, were so good. Definitely recommend and will be back.

It’s a real gem, especially since it’s in a more rural area where you wouldn’t expect to find authentic Taiwanese food. That’s a huge bonus!
The food we had was genuinely fantastic. And the prices were great, especially for the quality you get. It was a perfect, affordable stop on our trip.

It’s a booth on a parking lot, so you have only take out. There’s a table outside though, and we successfully used it. They have so many good and interesting stuffs!! My husband had Taiwanese pork rice, a famous street food, and I tried some steamed buns and a pancake. Everything was exceptionally delicious and even more: the flavors and textures that I have never experienced. Indeed, I have never tried Taiwanese cuisine just because I never ran into a Taiwanese restaurant unfortunately. Their taro steamed buns and their Chinese spinach is something undescribable

Had an absolutely delicious meal here! We enjoyed everything we ate, but would especially recommend the scallion pancakes. SO good. The pan-fried red bean one was also very tasty. The people working there were also very friendly.

Would definitely recommend!

PS Note that it is a small brown building in a parking lot. At first, we missed it. There is no indoor seating and only 1 table outside, so plan on take-out (not a problem, just wanted to let people know because that was not obvious from the reviews we had seen).

I can’t believe I’ve been living in Cheyenne for a year + and hadn’t been here!! This was hands down the best food I’ve had in town.

I got the pork noodles. The portion size is huge for such a low price and incredible quality. The red bean pancake was quite possibly the best red bean pastry I’ve ever had.

The owners are so sweet! They threw in a few free buns for me

More people need to go here!! Cheyenne needs more locally owned, authentic food like Destination Taiwan is offering!

Google reviews needs an extra button, a vote option to add an extra star when a place is just out of this world on all markers.

First, it’s that out only, so you don’t really expect service. Expect or not, this place delivers it. They went above and beyond, thoughtfully and carefully helping me decide what to try for my first taste of Taiwanese food. Then, since I ate in my car, they came out to see how I liked everything and offered to make me something else if I wasn’t happy!

The food was so good I hurt myself eating way too much. I cannot even begin to tell you how delicious and indescribably flavorful and fresh this food was!!!

And last, I ended up with enough food for SIX meals for like $30. That’s just insane. The last picture is my leftovers after stuffing myself, and it made lunches for 5 days, with me adding some frozen mango to 3 of the trays. If I’d spent $5 more for a second “small” rice, I’d have not even needed that.

Go. Go today. You will not regret it.

I don’t know why I didn’t go here sooner
But this is a Sunday treat FOR SURE ❣️ The braised pork fried rice was garlicy deliciousness & with a steam bun I was perfectly full Also got their traditional pork noodle dish at the top of the menu & it was UNBELIEVABLY
PACKED
with veggies & overall BURSTING with flavor Unfortunately they were out of fresh taro (which I appreciate that they use vs powdered) so I had to opt for the milk tea boba which was not a disappointment. I was determined to get this today & even though they are cash only -I raced to the atm & happy with every dollar I spent coming back❣️
