On a recent overnight trip to Savannah after scanning numerous dining options we settled on the gem that is Erica Davis Lowcountry. Since it was a Friday evening we made a phone call to ensure we could be seated. We were told it would be 30-45 minutes. Upon arrival, checked in with the hostess and waited about 15 minutes before being seated. There is some seating on the inside while you wait and plenty of room on the outside to also hang out. We were seated and waited about five minutes before our server, Megan, came on the scene. She did a very fine job, she made several menu suggestions and was very friendly. For a starter, we chose the beef brisket nachos and they were wonderful. The won ton chips are what made these different in a very good way. There is plenty of brisket on the nachos so could be an entree. I had the Wassaw Redfish, my wife enjoyed the beef brisket entree with their collard greens and Mac-N-Cheese as sides and third diner in our party ordered the Sunday Fried Chicken. All of our meals came out freshly prepared and were all delicious. The Wassaw Redfish entree was a generous serving, seasoned appropriately with the grits. This entree is a definite winner! The collard greens were fantastic too! We all agreed this is a spot we would return to and highly recommend if you’re wanting to satisfy your palate for Lowcountry cuisine!

Phenomenal customer service on a busy holiday weekend. Best fried green tomatoes I’ve had in a LONG time-well seasoned and crunchy shell! Crab cakes were fresh, excellent size and great amount of crab meat, but lacked flavor on their own IMO; however, was much improved with the included side cup of sauce. The green beans had no seasoning which was underwhelming but again fresh/quality food. Collard greens were good. The key lime pie in a cup was wonderful. Great experience.

On our last night in Savannah we debated over and over about where to eat. I lost count of how many times we zoomed in and out of Google Maps on our phones trying to find somewhere close since we did not want to fight with the downtown Savannah traffic. We finally zoomed in and found this great little restaurant that looks like a converted garage only a few minutes from where we were renting.

We were seated immediately and our server was quick to come by to get our drink order. It was at this time we received disappointing news that they were out of the 8oz petite filet my wife and I were both looking forward to. However, the menu offers a wide variety of options we both like so we were able to find another meal that we enjoyed.

I ordered the BBQ Combo with brisket and pulled pork, along with mac & cheese and fries. My wife opted for just the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Both dinners were absolutely fantastic. The brisket was very delicious and did not have an abundance of fat that briskets at other restaurants have.

Erica Davis Lowcountry made for a very pleasant last night in Savannah and will be on our list of places to return during our next trip.

You know if a restaurant is full and busy on a Thursday night, it must be a good place to go! The restaurant isn’t very big and neither is the parking lot so I can imagine it would be difficult to go there on a Friday or Saturday night. All of th staff was friendly and helpful. Some servers were more efficient than others. The table behind me had gotten their food and finished eating before my server took my order. The people next to me ordered some time after me and got their food before me. I am not really sure what was going on with that whole scenario. There is a nice selection of items to choose from on the menu. There is seafood, barbecue and down home southern selections. The food was very good. I would definitely go back. The owner made personalized visits with the customers to ask if everyone enjoyed their meal.

My husband and I went for a birthday brunch. Absolutely delicious! The service was pretty near perfect; attentive without being too much. The gentleman who served us was fantastic.

As for the food, I will say that this is the only restaurant that has served me fried green tomatoes that I liked! And not only delicious, but a feast for the eyes as well.
The breakfast skillet was as most are; hard to elevate that; but it was done well. Potatoes were crispy and the eggs cooked just right.

The highlight for my husband were the beignets. I don’t do sweets, so I didn’t try them, but he was enamored immediately!

I did order the gravy and it wasn’t to my liking. That said, it was smoky, as stated on the menu, and typically I’m not a fan of the smoke. So I still say try it for yourself. My husband enjoyed it.

Found this little gem after searching for a top rated restaurant while at a conference in Savannah. Shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had. In fact they were so good, I went two nights in a row! Staff were so kind, food was served fast and hot.
To top it off the place is absolutely adorable. Hope I get back this way in some warm weather and can eat in their outside dining area.

The food was delicious. I started with the fried green tomatoes, my only complaint is the small portion for the price. You only get 4 dressed up slices of tomato. The crab cakes, grits, and Brussels sprout’s were good as well. The Brussels sprouts stole the show.

Amazing seafood. Ordered the Wassaw redfish and was told it’s the best thing on the menu. Wasn’t disappointed. Grits were spot on, fish was delicate and packed with flavor, and green beans still had a bite to them. Po boys were also solid. Highly recommend!

Loved this! Service was very good and the food was amazing! Started with a cup of the Crab Stew and had the Wassaw Redfish for the main. Both were delicious. I always thought of the location as something I’d wait to do on my way to (or back from) Tybee, but it was much closer to where I live than what was in my mind. I’ll definitely be back soon!
