This truly is Christiansburg’s hidden gem. The service is wonderful, the food is amazing, and the building itself is so clean and beautiful. The nice lady who served us was very nice and was quick to tend to our needs. Also, they had plush seating and clean tables, and she was more than welcome to bring together our table for a larger party. They have 2 single restrooms, and they were very clean and sleek. I was surprised to see this quality, so they obviously care about service. They even have a sign that says “Please let us know if the restroom needs attention” which shows their care. The food was delicious and fast for the large quantity. They also had local artwork on display available for purchase. The whole experience was great, definitely stop by here. They also have a nearby frozen treat store for dessert.

Nice restaurant and good food. Inside is spacious with some small café type tables but along the wall is a full bench so seating is spacious. Outside they had several picnic tables so there’s plenty of room.

So happy I found this place! The burgers were a hefty size and so delicious. My husband, a fry aficionado, raved about their fries. The atmosphere had a clean, charming, hole-in-the-wall vibe to it. The service was speedy and friendly and the prices can’t be beat. This was my first time here, but it definitely won’t be my last!

I ate here for the first time and was blown away. I avoid fast food franchises but sometimes you just want a good burger and fries or a hot dog – this is the place to go for those times! I ordered several items (along with a partner) so we could really try the place. Standouts for me were the cheesesteak and wings, but the smash burgers are also outstanding. My only problem with this place is how I’m going to judiciously limit my visits, but I will be back! Bravo, chef, I hope you are cooking in the NRV for a long time.

My family and I stopped in here to get something to eat and we are glad we did. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a polite lady with a warm smile. She explained their menu and what their best sellers are. Something we haven’t had done in other places we have eaten at. We placed the kids order which were Mac and cheese, fries and chicken nuggets. We ordered a Philly steak with fries and the Appalachian Smash burger with pasta salad with homemade lemonade.
Our food was brought out shortly after. The food was simply amazing. The prime rib for the Philly sub was cooked to perfection. The burgers on the Appalachian Smash was seasoned and cooked perfectly along with a jam and pimento cheese. The pasta salad was the best I’ve had in quite a long time. The Mac and cheese and nuggets were good as well.
I love my lemonade and I’ve had some horrible lemonade at some places but let me tell you, their lemonade is out of this world. It had to be the best lemonade I have ever drank. This restaurant is definitely in my top 3 places now and is a must eat at if you’re local or passing through.

Chef Matt makes the best food! The smash burgers are amazing, the wings are always on-point! The lemonade is fresh made. Absolutely cannot say enough about how great this place is.

Gardner’s Grill always hits the spot!! My go to order is the adult chicken nuggets with fries (and don’t forget the fry sauce, perfection!!). My partner is a country ham enthusiast and thoroughly enjoys the Country Ham and Swiss…a true Appalachian delicacy. While our niece is a huge fan of the Mac & Cheese, she’s a tough critic but only has nice things to say about it’s cheesy goodness. Give them a try, you won’t regret it!!
