Such a friendly atmosphere! Felt welcomed from the door! Staff went out of their way to accommodate my group of 7… Especially Dr. Keith, who kept us served and entertained! Awesome waitstaff and the owner, Annalise, was warm and engaging. Loved the entire experience, from the artwork on the walls, to the soulful playlist, to Soul Train & Good Times on the TVs! THE FOOD was superb! Best collards I’ve had… PERIOD! Mini cornbread muffins came out first. There was pure magic in that sweet butter. I mean it was all true to the name of the place, “Soul Delicious“! I ordered the Hennessy Wings & Shrimp and added on catfish. Portions so generous, I had an entire meal the next day! I also had their yummy candied yams and cornbread dressing with gravy. Whatever you order, you can’t go wrong! Next time I’m in L.A., rest assured, I’ll be back!

The restaurant is located west of downtown Los Angeles. There is a bench outside the restaurant waiting area. The dining area is in one large room. There are counter seating on both sides of the restaurant. The tables and chairs can be moved to accommodate a couple or larger parties. The prices are reasonable. The menu has several combination dishes. There are a list of side dishes on the menu. The service was very good.

This is a must visit soul food restaurant! When you walk into the restaurant you are hit with a welcoming vibe. The beautiful paintings on the wall, the photo of entertainers on the wall and the colorful wall lettering. We were a party of four and was seated upon entering the restaurant. Once we were seated, cornbread muffins and water was immediately placed on our table. These muffins were moist and warm, served in a large basket with creamy butter. Our server Court C was amazing. He covered our table with everything we needed. Our food came…. And it was a massive plate of food. I had salmon croquette with mac and cheese, greens and yams. Well season food that had my taste buds dancing. We all could not finish our food, so to go container were provided. Dr. Keith worked this day and he kept us laughing. He made sure to visit every table and conversate with each restaurant patron. If you are looking for good soul food at reasonable prices? This is the place. There is street meter parking or use the paid parking lot walking distance.

I decided to visit this restaurant due to a Instagram post that was a very convincing so I ordered barbecue chicken mac and cheese collard greens and Black Eyed Peas. They were quite busy Sunday afternoon so I understand why they took a little while than usual maybe? I ordered takeout so as I was waiting the waitress she gave me a free side of fried okra and banana pudding, which was really nice of her.
I do recommend the mac and cheese and collard greens. Unfortunately my barbecue chicken was undercooked and my banana pudding was okay it was more pudding than banana and cookie but still delicious. Overall decent experience, worth a dine in next time..

I visited Annie’s Soul Delicious last night and had such a great first experience! We were seated right away, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The owner personally greeted us and even checked on us during our meal — she’s very hands-on and clearly passionate about her restaurant. Multiple staff members stopped by as well to make sure everything was going smoothly, and the bathrooms were clean, which is always a plus.
Now for the food — I ordered the 8-piece wings (half Classic, half Hennessy) and loved that you get three sides, which makes it plenty of food for the price. The wings had great flavor and came out piping hot since everything is cooked fresh to order. My only small note is to ask for your wings “fried hard/well” if you prefer a crispier texture like I do. That’s the only reason I’m knocking off a star because I didn’t get to fully enjoy them due to the texture. The couple wings I did get to eat were packed with flavor, and I’ll definitely be ordering them again — just fried hard next time!
The sides were incredible — the yams, mac and cheese, and collard greens were all packed with flavor and tasted homemade. We went around 5:30 p.m., and while it was busy, there were still seats available.
Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I’ll definitely be back again and again. Wishing them much continued success — they truly deserve it!

Amazing food and even better service! The veggie plate is a sleeper hit and those corn muffins are super addictive. Yoshi was my server and was so welcoming and helpful. Annie’s is officially my new favorite Soul Food spot in LA. Highly recommended.

Smh. I hate when people become complacent. The staff here is horrible. The food, I’ve ordered several times, this time it took almost 2 hours to get to me (and I live a mile away) AND THE CHICKEN WAS UNDERCOOKED. IF SOMETHING IS OUT OF STOCK SAY THAT INSTEAD OF RUSHING TO COOK THINGS OR BEING LAZY WHILE COOKING IT. BITING INTO BLOODY CHICKEN IS DISGUSTING. YOUR WORKERS HAVE HORRIBLE ATTITUDES.
The sides however were great, just make sure you take some blood pressure medication after. Salt is not the only seasoning. Pictures may not be able to capture properly, but the chicken is bloody and pink. Had to self induce after eating. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED

First time visiting the area and HAD to stop at one of the premier soul food restaurants in Los Angeles. The oxtail, Hennessy wings and lemonade concoctions were standouts! Our server was especially welcoming and even sung us a little song before bidding us a farewell. Special shout out to Eddie as he was always on point.
