Let me start by saying we have always loved Dumpling Daughter and have been coming here for a few years as a treat since we live an hour away. This time however on 12/12/25, we were disappointed in the quality of the bao buns. The BBQ pork ones were normal, but the minced beef and onion were tiny and chewy, flavor wasn’t good, not at all what they should be. We ended up throwing the beef and minced onion away. And whoever packed them knew the quality was wrong as they packed double the amount that normally comes in it. Not sure if we will take the drive again not knowing if we will get what we love or if we will get the poor quality we got this last time.
12/30/25 Update: The restaurant did offer to refund the cost of the subpar dumplings which is awesome, I emailed them back within a few days of their offer on 12/21/25, still have not heard back but understandable given the holiday. Hopefully I will hear from them soon!
1/17/26 Update: We are now well into the new year and I still have not heard back about the refund… Not sure why they offered to refund and then failed to respond or assist. At this point I figure I won’t be seeing the refund, disappointed in the customer service.

The buns were unbelievably bad. The dough was dense and not fluffy at all, like it wasn’t fermented and barely steamed through. The filling was also very dry. I’ve had frozen buns that taste much better than this.

Great spot for an easy, affordable, and delicious lunch or dinner! About $50 for three people is very reasonable these days, especially for quality, fresh food. The starters and dumplings are great, as expected, but don’t sleep on the three day ramen!

Why have I never heard of this place before? I’ve never even been to Weston before today and found this place. Today was my last day being vegetarian and I broke it with their Pork Belly rice bowl. Oh my God it was delicious!! I mean insanely delicious!!! I will return back to this place for the rest of my life. It was that good!

Been coming here since they first opened and have tried a lot of the menu. Boba is of course always a purchase, but food wise, I could their garlic eggplant everyday and love their tofu roll-up, it makes something that most people wouldn’t choose super flavorful. My siblings love the chicken ramen, beef buns and farm raised chicken salad. People are always friendly and the food comes really quickly.

I’m a regular at dumpling Daughter. I go fairly often.
Quality continues to drop. Recently they made the beef buns into smaller versions. You get more to an order, but they are noticeably worse in terms of flavor, texture, and filling.
Really disappointing, I think I’m done going after this latest change.
They were nice enough to refund it for me after I threw away most of my order uneaten. But why go back for food that just keeps getting worse?

I got three vegan dishes, and they were all really yummy: veggie dumplings, eggplant in garlic sauce, and the tofu roll-up (no mayo). The waitress was friendly and patient. We also ordered soy simmered beef, which was meh, and salmon, which tasted fishy. I’d go back for the veggie dishes, but not the other two.

How did this place get 4.4 stars? Americans?! This is a “high end” Chinese fast food place compared to all other fried rice places. The dumplings were bland and thick skin. My colleague ordered the steamed pork bun. Didn’t look appetising at all. I also ordered the coco beef rolls. That was so dry and the pancake wraps almost were crispy and hard. They just heartlessly put a spoon of sauce on the beef inside the wrap. That’s no difference than any other Americanise Chinese food
