Just happened to visit the food trucks downtown- decided on Simpkins BBQ. 1st taste of the cabbage, I was blown away at the flavor- I’ve never had smoked cabbage greens . Beef brisket sandwich was slamming! The Mac and cheese wasn’t bad. Nonetheless, go get you some! The young man at the window allowed me to sample the meat before buying. They’re amazing. It is also affordable and worthwhile.

Rarely do I give a 1 star to a restaurant, but this place had nothing going for it. I got the three meat plate plus two sides for $27.00. All the meat was cold and over covered with BBQ sauce in an effort to cover up the horribly over cooked brisket. The ribs were tender but flavorless the sausage was seriously overcooked. Then, to make matters worse, the corn was cold, and the potato salad tasted like Walmart potato salad. In fact, it probably was. No love for the BBQ customer, just overall a sorry excuse for a BBQ food truck. They sure did spend money on making the truck fancy but maybe spend some money on how to run a food business and cooking classes.

I pay a lot of money fir ribs twicw i told them a rib plate and 2 sandwhiches. When I got home, NO ribs check your orders because they cant follow directions. Will go back to Sims BBQ
