The sandwiches are so tasty and all ingredients are fresh. The meat on the Philly melted in my mouth, it was so fine and tender. I also had the Chicago Dog and it was as authentic as one can find in California. No wonder this place was featured in Diners, Drive ins and dives.
The service was fast and inviting, and the location was easy to find. There are only a few tables inside so it can get a bit crowded so arrive early.

Stopped by Norton’s Deli while in Santa Barbara after seeing it featured on The Feed Network for its pastrami Reuben, and I can absolutely see why it was highlighted. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was everything you want a Reuben to be. The rye bread was toasted just right, perfectly crispy on the outside but still soft enough to bite into. The sauerkraut had the perfect tang and texture, not soggy at all, and the mustard tied all the flavors together. The pastrami was the real star of the show. You can taste the quality right away, super flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite had that mix of crunch, salt, and savory that just hits perfectly. Didn’t even remember to take a picture because I ate the whole thing so quickly.
You can tell they put genuine care into their sandwiches here. It felt like a classic deli experience done right, simple, flavorful, and really satisfying. The staff was friendly, the portions were generous, and everything came out fresh and hot. It’s clear why Norton’s Deli has the reputation it does. Easily one of the best Reubens I’ve had and now one of my favorite lunch spots in Santa Barbara. If you love a good sandwich, this place is absolutely worth stopping by.

Norton’s is a hidden gem in SB but shouldn’t be. The sandwich was VERY good, the fries lacking but the sandwich made up for it ten fold. If you like pastrami you must try these sandwiches!

Incredibly diverse menu will all types of sandwiches ranging from grilled to cold to dips etc. The cooks are really talented able to cook up any sandwich under the sun with great ease. I was hungry so I went in for some hot dog. Right at the entrance a cheerful and friendly personnel helped me decide what I actually want. After short late my breakfast come and I was very surprised.
It looked and also tasted great. ( the bun was the best one I ever had and also sausage was great and combination of tomatoes and hot dog is great)I can’t give different rating than 5/5.

Stopped here while on a cruise stopping in Santa Barbara. My girlfriend is a huge DDD fan and suggested the place. I’m happy she did as it was unbelievable!!
Husband and I ordered a pastrami and a reuben sandwich on rye, both full size. Nice size & plenty meat and yup, we ate them both! Meats were tendered, perfectly seasoned and prepared. Even the pickles were great!
Not only the food was great but the staff as well. Very friendly and helpful with our inquiries. The small diner style seating provided great atmosphere to the already great restaurant.
Strongly recommend!! Wish I lived there so I could go there often and try their other dishes. If I’m ever back to Santa Barbara, I will definitely stop here again!! It was THAT good!!

I ordered one half pastrami Reuben and one half corned beef Reuben. Never been before, maybe this is how they do it- but I was given two sandwiches. Or what I would call four half sandwiches. Flavor was good. Execution flawless- would just be better if they made their own meats. Definitely worth a try!

I flew into Santa Barbara headed to Ventura and I decided to stop here for one of my favorite sandwiches. I love pastrami and this was very good. A tad greasy, but not too bad. Free parking across the street.
