Watching cooking shows decided to order some pizza. I haven’t had Monicals in years. Ordered a pepperoni thin crust for my wife and a deluxe deep dish for me. Then my wife wanted a side salad with Monical’s dressing. Not a bad pizza. Was not busy so order was fast. Lots of left overs.

Nice simple place with Italian style food and more than fair prices. Not for pizza only! Very friendly staff. Decent size portions ( actually, I got full with half of the salad and half lasagna). Open till 9 pm. Thank you for that. At 5 pm on Sunday the restaurant was half full. Good place to come with your family and friends.

Visiting my kid for Family Weekend at IWU. We stopped at this place because it was close to campus and looked nice from outside. It was ok, when you walked in a cook came from the kitchen to seat us. Greatly appreciated he changed gloves. The selection is weird for a pizza/pasta place. Lasagna no meat option. None of the pastas had a meat sauce, only add meatballs. My kid had the Lasagna, she maybe ate 1/4. Her friend ordered Spaghetti, she too only ate 1/4. I ordered a pan pizza with cheese only. 3 out of 6 slices had cheese. I too only ate the sections with cheese. Maybe the thin crust is the speciality.

Driving through Bloomington on our return home from St. Louis and we couldn’t pass up Monical’s. Got a side salad and personal pizza to go – both were excellent, as we’ve always come to expect. I believe that we heard that this location was the spot where the very first Steak ‘n Shake opened, but did not confirm this.

Absolute garbage the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen this place is not Italian cuisine this is crap. Is the equivalent of serving lunchables with a side bottle of ketchup. I cannot eat here I will not even try this is awful horrible this is not Italian food this is I have no idea of a proper way of saying what this is but this is not Italian food and this is wrong. I only gave her one star rating because I have to give a star.

Honestly a really bad experience and we won’t be coming back. We didn’t get drinks for almost 15 mins after arriving, and food took awhile too. There was a hair in our sandwich, and 1 order was supposed to be a chicken bacon RANCH pizza but it was a regular pizza with chicken and bacon added- it was also a little burnt. We finished our drinks when the food first arrived and weren’t given refills. Our sever did ask if we wanted to go drinks but we had already finished our bad food and called it a loss.

The parts of the pizza that I was willing to eat tasted good overall and there is clearly potential but some parts of it were pretty severely burnt. My fiance was willing to eat the burnt but I was personally bummed. I don’t tend to like thin crust so we don’t eat here often and probably won’t again for a while if ever. With so many options in town this isn’t it.

We wanted a pizza place just off ISU campus, that was easy to get to (with good ratings). Met the college grandson here for lunch on our trip back home (southern Arkansas).

Thinnest crust (that didn’t have a horrible taste). *It was AMAZING!
The toppings were PERFECT!!!! Loved the small cuts on the veggie toppings!
