Roarin 20s Dining and Social Club

Ok, the name of the business, Roarin 20’s. I was expecting something out of the 20’s. We stopped in here by choice, local place, remote from the hustle and bustle of the big city and never been here.. Um, well, where do I start. First impression walking into the restaurant, WOW, wait staff on Sunday when we stopped in, TOP NOTCH, Heather was our waitress. she was FANTASTIC, the bartender, FANTASTIC, food, big city taste, small town prices. She ordered a Class 5 Hurricane and made a little boat out of the fruits. Pretty cool. Heather said they had a couple of Prime Rib sandwiches left, my favorite food on the planet, $12.50. Drinks, absolutely top notch. Appetizer, plenty of food and YUMMY. Well, then came out food. Here we go. My wife had Halibut, wait, in remote country restaurant in Wisconsin?? OK, whatever. Prime Rib sandwich, now where talking. She was slowly eating her Halibut, not saying much about it, and I can’t get enough of that sammie in my mouth at the same time!!!! She asked how I liked my sammie, I told her OMG so damn delicious. I asked her about her Halibut. She said is was ok, as she was slowly eating it. Well after she was done, I asked her if it was OK. She said I didn’t want to tell you it was awesome, because you would eat it on me!! She said it was AMAZING. The only thing she wishes for, and asked for, it to be blackened. We have been fortunate to be able to travel and she has had some amazing Halibut. She said it was in the top 3 she’s had, Bozeman Montana is #1. She would know, it’s her favorite plate. Prime Rib sandwich!! I have had it in about 20+ states, probably 200 or more restaurants. WOW if you go there, PLEASE go on Saturday night, and I will eat the Sunday Sammie for $12.50 all day long. Tender, FULL of flavor, juicy, I’m getting hungry thinking about it. This place is a HIDDEN GEM.

I was on my way from Madison to a celebration of life in the country and stopped for lunch. The bar is beautiful and the dining room is decorated with Art Deco prints. The music was wonderfully unobtrusive, beautiful, acoustic, old time. I had a good ham and cheese at a fair price. I liked the place so much that I stopped on my way back, for part of the Packer game. The best feature, both times, was the friendly bartender, Maddie.

We have eaten there twice and both times had poor experiences and will never go back. Wait staff was horrific. The first time our food was ice cold my shrimp were literally still froze, my vegetables were also still frozen. My potatoes had a crust on the top that you could tell they were clearly microwaved and the potatoes underneath it were cold. My husband ordered a steak. There’s no way that that was a rib eye it looked like mystery meat. It was paper thin had no seasoning. My husband ordered it medium rare, and it was clearly well done. His potatoes and vegetables were also ice cold… and forget about eating the rolls, They were hard as a rock. We were the only table in the restaurant and it took us almost an hour to get our food. We of course complained about the food and sent it back in eaten and received no compensation for food we didn’t eat. We thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt and try it again. We went there another time my husband ordered the tuna. Why bother putting it on the menu if you do not include the sauce that you say it’s supposed to come with? And don’t bother ordering it cooked to your likeness because everything comes out well done. The tuna had absolutely no seasoning french fries that he ordered with It were ice cold. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was so rubbery it couldn’t be eaten and the bun you could’ve used it for a baseball bat , french fries, ice cold my daughter ordered the Rocket sticks and they were frozen in the middle. Save your money do not go to this place.

Drinks are good and rocketman pizza is amazing…stick to pizza and alcohol and you should be fine.

Had a delicious, very generously portioned Impossible burger, waffle fries, & a fantastic martini. The craft cocktail menu is impressive. The dinner rolls with flavored butters are a nice touch. The lighting, artwork, a gorgeous bar create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Very friendly staff, too. An unexpected gem in the middle of rural Wisconsin.

Wonderful service! Brad, our waiter, was absolutely fantastic. It’s not often you get great service at restaurants anymore. I was nervous about the service after reading a couple bad reviews…But I’m so glad we tried this out. The food was good, large portions, and cooked properly. Prices were affordable as well. All around good experience here.

Excellent service and staff every time I’ve been in. Delicious cocktails, my favorites are the gimlet and the mules. Very generous food portions. Rocket Man Pizza also does a great job with their pizza of the month and rocket rolls.

Best pizza within an hour drive! Bartenders are nice, drinks are delicious. You’d expect this kind of quality in a bigger city! Very pleased. BBQ chicken pizza is AWESOME!

Took over 3 hrs to be seated, order taken and get our food! Waitress wasn’t very good. Food wasn’t hot. Didn’t get my order right. Said their “regular” cook had the day off so would take 35 minutes to get food. Took much longer. The hostess/owner came over and apologized several times. I understand many places are short staffed but this was way beyond short staffed. I think there were only 4 or 5 tables full at that point. There were people that left instead of waiting. At least we had plenty of conversation to take up our time. Our bill was given 50% off.

Excellent food and service and quite reasonable compared to some other places I’ve been recently. Food and service were excellent. Drinks were great and it’s a really cool atmosphere for a tiny town. Beautiful drive out there, didn’t see any white deer this time but that’s a plus too sometimes

Great food, no really, my calamari was cooked perfect as were my shrimp. Amazing decor and atmosphere all with small town prices and friendly staff. My wife and I just found our new favorite date night restaurant.
