At Pinesmoke Bee Company, we drink & we learn things! Established in 2022 as a local honey bee apiary serving the Golden Triangle in Lake County, Florida, Pinesmoke Bee Company expanded its offerings in 2024 to include a Mead Tasting lounge in the heart of historic downtown Eustis. In addition to vibrant and accessible educational content and retail offerings, we bring together beekeepers, bee lovers, honey hounds, and meadmongers under one roof to share in creating a curious, delicious third space.

Their motto says “We Drink And We Learn Things,” and we did.
TJ, one of the owners, was phenomenal. We tried four flights of mead and every single one was outstanding. My personal favorite was the pineapple habanero!
TJ didn’t just pour drinks, he taught us. We got a full honey tasting, learned about local bees, and he shared so much fascinating info that all of us were completely locked in. We ended up buying three bottles of honey, it was that good.
The whole experience was fun, welcoming, and genuinely interesting. If you’re ever in Eustis, stop by. You’ll drink, you’ll learn, and you definitely won’t be sorry.

I gave them a 5 for food but they do not serve food yet, it is for the drinks. Their wide choice of mead-based drinks is impressive. They are adding new ones all the time so there is always something new and exciting. They also have a decent variety of local honey to choose from and you can take some of your favorite drinks home too. I love to go here when I have the time, they have a lot of gluten-free drinks. They have occasional parties with live music and one can even dress up for those, medieval, anime or any way you want. They are getting a special group going with exclusive events if you join. They usually set up a booth every year at the Renaissance Faire at Tavares in November and sell honey. They host various crafting events at their shop too.

What a cool place! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They have a HUGE selection of Meads too. Went here tonight for drinks. We each got a flight so we could try 8 different flavors in all. They were all amazing! It’s peaceful, quaint and relaxing. We learned a lot about mead while chatting with owner too. If you have not been, you need to check this place out.

Fabulous Experience! This small place is an excellent find and I am so glad we stopped in by accident. Each of the staff was very knowledgeable in all aspects of their unusual craft. This store was all about bees! They even had a live bee hive on display. Soon they will have classes on how to care for bees and all they really do for us. Of course they sell all kinds of honey, but they also have merchandise and alcoholic beverages made from Honey. Well worth your time to stop by and check it out. Try a flight of the meads as we did. Yummy!

With a diverse agenda, Pinesmoke has a lot to offer; from authentic mead to full service beekeeping supplies. The owners are extremely knowledgeable in medicinal health and the benefits their products vastly range in aiding conditions or daily life.
