This place has the best Mexican food restaurant in San Diego. I travel from East County to eat here. Their fish tacos are amazing with huge servings in each taco. They also give a 4% cash discount now which is nice. You can also buy beer to have with your food here. My favorite Tony’s is the one near Rosecrans. It’s very pretty with outdoor seating and a big salea bar. The staff there are also extra nice. The Tony’s off of Washington Street is also good. I always recommend this place. Just perfection

The cashier was friendly and patient.
The fish in their ceviche is cooked.
I am not certain whether they make their own chips and tortillas, because a look at the kitchen, I saw bags of store-bought tortillas.
The dining room is not the most inviting.

Worst Mexican food in San Diego by far.
Carne asada burrito is dry, flavorless, soggy disgusting pico de gallo, and brown guacamole.
The bean and cheese is somehow the greasiest thing i have ever eaten, and the cheese wasn’t even melted. It was just shredded cheddar, thrown in there cold.

One of the top Mexican food places in San Diego. Their food is really clean and has that Whole Foods taste. We ate breakfast here and recommend you come try the breakfast burritos they are amazing. The vibe inside the restaurant is more of a fast food kinda vibe, but if you can see past that the food is amazing!!!

During my recent visit to Tony’s Fresh Mexican Food, I had the pleasure of experiencing their fajitas, and I must say, they did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, capturing the essence of authentic Mexican culture.
The fajitas arrived beautifully presented on a plate, a delightful mix of colorful bell peppers, onions, and perfectly seasoned strips of chicken, beef, and succulent shrimp. The aroma was intoxicating, hinting at the rich, smoky flavors to come. Each bite was a harmonious blend of tender meat, juicy shrimp, and crisp vegetables, wrapped in soft, warm tortillas. The accompanying guacamole, sour cream, and salsa were fresh and added the perfect balance of creamy and tangy notes.
What truly elevated my dining experience was the exceptional customer service provided by Danna. From the outset, she greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, making me feel right at home. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered insightful recommendations. Danna was attentive without being intrusive, and that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal to the fullest.
Danna’s professionalism and friendly demeanor made a significant difference, transforming a great meal into a memorable dining experience. If you’re looking for delicious fajitas and outstanding service, Tony’s Fresh Mexican Food is the place to go.
Kudos to Danna and the entire team for their dedication to excellent customer service and high-quality food. I can’t wait to return!

12.5.22 Monday morning 7am drove by the place. Turned around and glad I did because I had the pleasure of enjoying the BEST breakfast burrito I’ve had in my life. We were the only ones in line at the drive through. Service was prompt. We shared one breakfast burrito supreme for $10.49:
Supreme Breakfast Burrito
Served with eggs, bacon, ham, chorizo, potatoes, cheese, and sour cream.
This thing was big, tasty, fresh, cheesy, meaty, and I added a tad bit of the spicy salsa. Wow! It had so many great elements and filled up two hungry adults with a few bites left over. Highly recommend this meal anytime (breakfast served all day too)!

Brought my father, visiting from FL, here. He said the pollo asada might just be the best burrito he’s ever eaten. I had the carne asada and it was delicious as well! The meat was flavorful and moist. Loved it! Service was excellent as well.

Carne asada was burnt and dry, like crispy black. Fries were chewy, old and burnt. I’m disappointed. My first experience was great but this time it felt like the food was dug out of the trash. Fries looked as though they were cooked that morning and not warm. The meat was beyond burnt. I ended up throwing Away both meals.

Wow bro never been more disappointed I went on October 16-2025 and wow I’m very unplessed, I order a been cheese and rice burrito and my friend order a fries and added pico lettuce beans sour cream Guacamole . The total was about 24$ witch is pretty normal but they charge 2$ for ever side almost. We were in drive thru and when we paired the lady asked for what Sauce you want. We said the green one and we were 2 people and she only gave us 2 packets of sauce.. I asked for more and she proceeded to hand me one more.. I was already pissed off and drove to the shelter island to look at the view and eat and when my friend opens his fries there are no toppings there. They skip out on the sour cream the Guacamole wasn’t there and they just threw a hand ful of lettuce. My friend started to complain and I opened my burrito too and there is no rice. Like wow you guys need to step your game up this is horrible I Paided almost 13$ for what ? I didn’t have time to go back and complains so we ate our food fast because we were getting late for work. PS: the lady with the glasses and the long hair who works at the front usually take the order has probably the worst customer service ever.

I paid $11 and some change for a bean, cheese, and rice burrito, which is absolutely insane. I didn’t see a price on the menu either and had to pay after he already made the food. Also served pre packed salsa packets About as far from fresh as you can get, and for those prices, it better be amazing and it’s very mediocre at best. I know it’s just crappy Mexican fast food and I expect that, but not $11 for some beans, rice and cheese.
