Service was good super friendly the food was good the ingredients were fresh. I ordered the chicken pho perfect for the cold i have. Also tried the fried chicken/shrimp egg rolls they were not greasy. Tried the shrimp rolls fresh ingredients good peanut sauce. I tried the Thai tea, not my fav but they have tons of other drink options. Definitely will be going back!

I saw the grand opening banner and just on a whim decided to stop and grab a banh mi, cuz I try one every place I go. The customer service was on point, they were fast, efficient, super friendly. The bread is perfect, the toppings, the ratio, it’s definitely a ten out of ten banh mi. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

Best pho in town! I have tried many pho places, and this place is severely underrated. This is on par with SoCal flavors. The service is also great and the place is clean
The drinks are also amazing and fresh. I’d highly recommend tropical fruit tea and the sour soap tea. They could open a standalone drink place and I would still go.

Asian Essence Kitchen is not only the best Vietnamese and Asian food restaurant in Fresno, California.. but also my favorite restaurant!
First things first, I could sit in here like a coffee Cafe. The atmosphere is so comforting and the music is very pleasant. As an avid anime fan, I knew right away the music is from anime films like the Ghibli films. Spirited away theme was one of the songs I heard.
I just moved here from Los Angeles, but I had taken plenty road trips here to visit family and eating locally with them for many years. I am really glad Asian Essence Kitchen opened up at the same time of my relocation here. It could not have been more perfect timing.
My favorite food is pho and bahn mi. This restaurant not only satisfied me by taste, but by food amount. Very good portion sizes.
I got the beef brisket pho, spicy beef bahn mi and iced Vietnamese coffee.
Beef brisket pho: meat was tender perfectly. Other places you’ll find it chewy and hard, not great. Here it’s tender and flavorful. The broth is smooth, refreshing and pure, very flavorful. The noodles and toppings were perfect as well, everything was fresh. Comes served in a big portion bowl. Toppings are your usual bean sprouts, basil, lime, jalapeño. Tasted awesome adding Sriracha as well. You will get Sriracha, fish sauce and hoisin brought to your table.
Spicy Beef Bahn mi : The bread was a thick roll, not too crunchy that it hurts your mouth. Perfect when you take a bite, just enough crunchy texture and soft inside. As was all the ingredients inside, everything melts in your mouth. Perfect. The spread was also perfectly balanced, not too much mayo flavor or strong seasoning. Perfectly balanced out the ingredients. Comes served in a cool little basket.
They also have rice dishes, sticky rice dishes and vegetarian options. A lot of variety here, but I’ll be coming back for the same thing hehe.
Iced Vietnamese coffee : Comes in a small cup, very strong. Packed with ice and froth, I finished this in maybe 2 gulps. I’m a bigger guy, but that is still pretty small. I think it’s more of a frothy shot, packed in ice. I would not order it again, but it was still delicious and bold strong coffee flavor was delightful. I prefer something that I can sip on for a few minutes, so that’s my personal preference. If you want a frothy shot, this is for you. If you want something to sip on for a few minutes I’d try something else.
The drink menu is crazy long and extensive. You could literally get a new type of flavor everytime you came and it would be a long time before you try them all. From boba milk tea to juice drinks and toppings. They have so much to choose from!
They will be serving dessert in maybe 2 weeks time from what Anna told me.
Anna was the hostess and server today. She is very knowledgeable about all the menu items. I couldn’t get over how beautiful she is wow. It would be my favorite spot for the food regardless!
I only make extensive reviews for a really good product and service. Asian Essence Kitchen provided my favorite dishes to me in my opinion. I need a good pho and bahn mi on a weekly to monthly basis!!
I will be a returning customer for sure!
Thank you for finally providing an excellent quality of Vietnamese food to Fresno California. When I moved here last month I was all sad there was nowhere good to get pho and bahn mi. NOT ANYMORE!!! I’m so grateful you opened up!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

I had the whole place to myself because it’s fairly new. It looks and smells clean. I was served pretty quickly. The bun bo hue is tasty but I was looking for more flavor. The chicken and sticky rice is cooked to order and is as expected.
