Multiple TVs to watch all Leagues of soccer, and rugby. Perfect pints of Guinness, Smithwicks and Harp are always on tap, mixed with a few local breweries as well. This is a real deal, old school pub. Fantastic place to get a “proper Guinness” poured the right way. Strong Irish pub feel with several TV’S to watch sports, but especially Soccer. Bartenders were friendly and awesome. Full bar, no food.

It’s an Irish pub. Proper. They don’t have fancy drinks or a dance floor or hipster beer and that’s what makes it great. It’s small, close-quartered and personable. Bartenders are attentive and friendly and it has some of the cleanest bathrooms downtown. You can sit under the awnings out front and drink or smoke (if you’re into that). The AC and beer is cold. What else do you want?! Just don’t show up on St. Paddy’s thinking it will be quiet.

Atmosphere was great and of course there’s variety for drink options. Every bartender is different but the one we got attended by was a LIAR and a SCAM. After asking us for I.D, my partner bought a mixed drink and I had asked for a cup of water (considering a cup of water was no charge). The woman bartender had then said to me, “the ONLY water we have is liquid death in a can which is $2.” I had then told her no thank you. About 3 minutes after a man comes in and buys an alcohol drink. Along with his drink was a glass filled with ice and what seemed to look as if it were water. My partner had then kindly asked the man if the glass cup with clear liquid was iced water and he responded yes. She then asked if he had gotten charged for the iced water and his response was no. After realizing there was another option for water to be given out for FREE, we looked at the bartender disgustingly and annoyed since she was trying to scam us. Maybe the glass of water was only given if buying an alcoholic drink (something that I did not purchase but my partner did) but the thought could have been treated as if the glass of water could have been for my partner and I to drink since she bought an alcoholic drink. I did not have a problem tipping the woman to fetch me a glass of water for me and my partner to share. Selling to consumers makes sense but to lie and scam someone is WRONG. Whoever gets attended by the woman in this image, be CAREFUL, even if it’s being secure about your payment card and charge transaction! I did not catch her name but the image shows a slight appearance. She can easily be identified as she has a huge mole hanging on her right eyebrow (looking direct). Image also shows the man’s alcohol drink along with his glass of water.

Sláinte Irish Pub is everything you want in a true Irish pub—warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the staff makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in. The drinks are always poured perfectly, the food is hearty and delicious, and the vibe is unbeatable whether you’re stopping in for a casual pint or a full night out.

Sláinte Irish Pub is one of those places that just feels right. The vibe is easygoing, the service is great, and the team—especially Liz—is super friendly and always up for a nice chat. We love that it’s pup-friendly too (we even met the cutest baby blue Frenchie one night—what a gorgey!). The music adds to the charm—last time, folks picked Backstreet Boys and Britney, and we jumped in with Bye Bye Bye by NSYNC. Instant bond. Plus, they always have actual football (yep, soccer!) playing, so we’re never missing a good match while having a fun night out. Just an all-around good time.

Fun staff. Nice regulars. Low key. Crowd leans older, but the weekends bring a mixed age crowd. They will put on any soccer game and tend to open early for bigger matches. TVs and jukebox. A couple of outdoor benches. Great Irish pub in the heart of downtown.

SLÁINTE☘
Great Irish Pub right on the heart of Wilmington’s bustling downtown district. Fast, friendly service with a full and plenty of tv’s that they’ll switch channels for you if you ask. Bartenders Felicia and Liz were quick and efficient slinging drinks with a smile and perfectly poured Guinness all night. Whether you’re Irish or not, get yourself a pint and shot at SLÁINTE’s☘
