Since management won’t even listen to what I was having a issue with now everybody is going to hear about it. And sincerely hope to speak with the owner about my experience today.
I had called before going in asking for a chicken fried steak. The person on the phone wasn’t sure and went to ask a coworker. Came back and so NO we don’t. said okay and we hung up. Decided to go in to see their entire menu since I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Long and behold…. there it was chicken fried steak. I asked about it and what sides come with it. She went to the back and came to the front and told me my options. Paid and waited. Was brought the food amd was told here is ur LG CFS
Have a good day and left. I get home and find that I don’t have gravy. I worked in food for over a decade so I do understand the sauce gets missed sometimes. Even though that can be annoying its not even a big deal. So I called up the Queen B and ask about the gravy. I was then told that the gravy is stuck on a truck on I-35. AGAIN I understand u can not do anything about that it is out of their control. But as a manager how come u didn’t come to me and tell me this when my order was placed… or even when I had received my order…. u had 3 small tables who already ate so how did this slip past you.
I was then told that they can give me some more ranch and ketchup… how do u expect anyone to eat a chicken fried steak with ranch and ketchup in hopes that I just go away. I then asked for the manger and she then tells me the same thing. which doesnt solve the main issue of the main course being not edible. She then tells me that I knew and was okay with the gravy situation. NO MA’AM nobody said anything to me about the gravy because, I would have order a reuban or a burger. I would have been understanding of the gravy situation cause it ain’t their fault. but to not tell me or accept responsibility in rectifying the situation is Poor Management.
I then tell the assistant manger to have the manager in charge ready for me that I will be bringing back the whole food order not even a bite missing that I want to talk.
Upon arrival the main manager tells me that the girl in the back is crying because I’m being mean? All I asked was for the manager and I wasn’t even yelling just trying to explain what has happened. I got 1 sentence out of my mouth before she intentionally interrupted me and said I don’t understand how food service works (BTW managed million plus resturant locations as well as traveling corporate trainer for new resturant openings) and again only offered more ranch or ketchup. Since this was clearly going no where I just said give me my money back. I am very disappointed in how unprofessional and how incorrectly this issue was handled.
The food looked fantastic. The cfs was golden brown the fries was fried to perfection and mac salad was even separated to make sure it wasn’t going to shog the fries so food quality wise they did a great job but sadly that was the only good part of my experience and I didn’t even get to taste it….
The place is very well decorated and cozy feel.
