We’ve visited Ginza Won Restaurant twice over the past three years, and both visits have been absolutely delicious.
This spot feels like a bit of a hidden gem in Waikīkī, tucked away off the main street, so it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it.
Our first visit was with a group of about 10 people, and this time there were four of us. While you can order à la carte, we’ve always chosen one of their family-style meals, which is a really fun way to experience everything.
The highlight is cooking your own meats, seafood, and vegetables right on the grill at your table. Our meal also came with rice, soup, salad, and a variety of pickled and seasoned vegetable sides. Everything was fresh and full of flavor.
The service is wonderful. The staff are happy to make recommendations and guide you on how to cook and enjoy the different items. They also brought us dipping sauces, white rice, and lettuce wraps to pair with your grilled proteins.
Both times we’ve eaten here, we left completely stuffed. The kind of meal where you know you probably ate more than you should have, but it was absolutely worth it.
Definitely a place we’ll return to the next time we’re in Waikīkī.

This is a tiny, hole-in-the-wall gem. Family run, and true Korean BBQ. They have many levels of quality/quantity. A two-person set is PLENTY!
Decide which meats you want, and go from there.
Dinner starts with kimchee and various spicy pickles. Grills are in the table for you to cook your own.
Ginza Won is not fancy, but really good food.

We were craving some “big” meal for the night and stumbled upon this place. While the initial greeting felt brash (probably due to the large numbers of customers), the service quickly mellowed out and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food-wise, we loved it. Fresh meats, decent sides, and large quantities. Highly recommended.

The only thing I didnt like about this place is that I didnt find it sooner. The food was soo good and authentic! Very hard to find authentic home made food like in Korea, and this place hits the spots. The Ajussi in the kitchen was so kind and remembered everything I liked to eat. The waiters were so nice and very attentive. Came back 3 times in a row. Fantastic. I recommend this place if you LOVE Korean food. The absolute best. Can’t wait to go back!

It feel like you eat at home but someone serves your food. The employee was so sweet, and the food was delicious. The price wasn’t bad at all. This restaurant is in the alley, but not too scary. If both of us girls can come here, everybody should be ok.

While in Hawaii, we were craving Korean food and decided to visit this restaurant. We ordered the “Honeymoon Combo,” which came with various meats, a stew, and rice. The price felt a bit on the higher side, but the flavors made up for it, the stew was excellent, and the meat was tender and delicious. The side dishes like ssamjang, salt, and lettuce wraps were also very tasty, and they even served fresh pineapple for dessert. The owner seemed to be a first-generation Korean immigrant, with his son helping out at the restaurant. While eating, I could hear karaoke singing nearby, though I’m not sure if it was part of the restaurant. There are about eight tables available for seating, and parking is in a small paid lot in front. Overall, it was a satisfying Korean meal in Honolulu. Still feeling a bit pricey, total we paid $120

Wow, I’m really surprised how good the meat quality is here. The (Korean style) galbi here is defiantly the best I’ve had on Oahu so far. The location is great too, this is my new “go-to” Korean spot every time I’m in Waikiki

Best Korean bbq in town, better than all the ones in mainland. The real deal. Pure Hawaiian beef. Pure Hawaiian pig. Amazing. 21 stars.

My family loves Korean BBQ and this is the best we’ve ever had. The quality of the meat and service was top notch. We’ve had A5 wagyu in Kobe, Japan, and I’d say this meat was better!
We got the two person combo with sierloin, short ribs, inside rib meat, and cold buckwheat noodles. It came with complimentary veggies and lettuce boats. We had three people, but the portion was enough for four! Price was very good, especially for the Waikiki area.
Servers were very attentive and being Christmas Day we were extra grateful. Most definitely worth a visit. Even my brother who doesn’t like Korean BBQ said this place was exceptional! We will be visiting again.
