We were visiting Big Bear for the weekend and found this place on Google. Based on the reviews and its 4.2-star rating, it sounded great. We received our drinks (coffee and water), they took our order 2 omelets. But then our food never came, no one checked on us or returned to the table. We noticed the table of 2 behind us who ordered a omelet after us received their breakfast while we were waiting. Our waitress, wearing a black Mammoth Ski Resort sweatshirt, no name tag or introduction, had an unfriendly demeanor and provided no follow-up. We left disappointed, upset, and still hungry. We won’t be coming back to this establishment. I suggest not having breakfast here unless you want to be treated like you dont matter and you want to waste your vacation time.

The place has true mountain charm and our server was very nice and attentive.

We felt a little odd because it was on the earlier side of dinner time (4:30ish) but still when you would expect to see people in a restaurant and the place was empty. We weren’t even sure if they were open?

The food tasted good and we were happy. Worth checking out when you are in Big Bear.

A few weeks ago we ate the very best ribs and homemade clam chowder! Their dinner prices are really reasonable and they have a different special ever night. We brought our family and they all had a great experience. We are also now regular customers for breakfast yummy skillets and omelets. Plus, it is a restaurant that we don’t have to wait an hour for with plenty of booths and large tables for groups!

This establishment truly impressed our entire group with its exceptional hospitality. The staff were wonderfully accommodating, making our large gathering feel welcome and well-cared for. We were delighted to find it was also a pet-friendly venue, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, served in generous portions that satisfied everyone. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable, contributing to a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

The pricing for the food wasn’t bad. But, the lettuce in our salads was dark, and slimy. We showed it to our server, who unfortunately, just looked at us, walked off, didn’t say anything. On the next round, we asked if we could possibly get salads with fresh lettuce. We were told the lettuce was cut fresh the morning of. After about 15 minutes, fresh salads were finally brought to the table. It wasn’t a very good experience at all. One lady out of all the people that approached us was nice.

Upon leaving Big Bear headed home we stopped in and was greeted by owner, Jolinda… very sweet and welcoming. Place is beautiful… nice bar… and nice patio. Breakfast was yummy! Jolinda brought Willie (our dog) a couple of treats. We had a nice visit and a good meal and will be back!

Great place for a hearty breakfast they even have German food and it’s authentic.
Try the Weiner schnitzel or Cabbage rolls, they have authentic German beer on tap as well. Get a pitcher you won’t regret it.

The owners are great and the food is always fresh and made to order. The fish and chips are great and don’t forget the malt vinegar.

If you want Mexican food the same owners have Sonora Cantina next door and it’s just as good and just as authentic. Try an top shelf Margarita they are strong!

Absolutely will come here again on our next big bear trip. We stopped here tonight on Xmas eve and were greeted so warmly. They gave our kids Christmas goodie bags and were so sweet to our family. The broccoli soup was incredible and the bread with butter. My daughter loved all her spaghetti and couldn’t stop talking about how much she loved her noodles.
