Hands down best BBQ I’ve ever had. Been going to there since they were in Vermont. The ribs are flavorful, tender, and falls right off the bone, briskets are super tender and Smokey, and the pulled pork is juicy and delicious. The sauce is amazing too.

Amazing BBQ. My husband said he tried three different BBQ places in Texas when he was there for a work trip and this topped them all. We both agreed it might be the best BBQ we have ever had. We tried the pulled pork, brisket and ribs. Darrell gave us a slice of Pastrami to try and it was stellar. All the meats were packed with flavor, fall apart and moist. I loved the Maple Bourbon BBQ sauce and he loved the Carolina because it’s a little spicy. The collard greens were tasty. The coleslaw and Mac and cheese were good as well. We missed out on cornbread and potato salad. Things sell out and once you’ve tried it, you’ll understand why! We had plenty of meat and sauces to take home!

The service here us great, can tell the workers take pride in their work. Came while the specials were the smoked turkey and smoked pastrami, they were fantastic. Also tried the brisket, mac n cheese, and the cornbread. The brisket was a bit drier than I had expected but great flavor like the other meats. The Mac was super creamy and had great flavor, very different when it came to the pasta used. The cornbread was pretty good too, as well as all of the sauces, I’d recommend the bourbon sauce.

Please keep at it guys, your killing it. The smoked brisket with crack sauce on top is absolutely amazing, and at a very reasonable price. Heart and sole of Warrensburg right here. Would rate 20/10 if I could.

I am giving these great people a 5 overall because of the kindness and great overall service. I wasn’t real impressed with the “burnt ends” and the ribs were dry. The sausage just didn’t have the smoky taste I like. The pulled pork was good. The key lime wasn’t very good. It didn’t have a key lime taste. I do want to try the beans and collards one day. I realize everyone has different tastes so I kept that in mind when rating them.

I had lunch with the hubby this past Saturday at Mark’s Hometown’Cue in Warrensburg (Exit 23). Usually, I am a wait a couple of weeks for the kinks to work out kinda person, but the call of good BBQ 20 minutes away (actually 35 today due to crazy tourist traffic) was too strong.
This place is the real deal, y’all. I could smell all of the wonderful bbq smells the second I stepped out of the car. It can be a bit confusing to find, as it is located in an old pizza shop and the previous store sign is pretty predominant driving by. I am sure in time that will come down.
Onto the most important part – the food. We were treated to a slice of brisket while waiting and it was absolutely heaven; moist but not too much fat and cooked until it was fall apart tender. Our order included: brisket nachos, beef and cheddar sammy, small side of coleslaw, and small side of potato salad.
Seriously delicious food. This isn’t their first time running a storefront, but still, 1st day open and they were slaying it.
The sandwich was great – love the barbecued onions, which were a combo of bbq sauce and hot sauce. Plenty of meat to fill the roll and not a skimpy portion at all.
The nachos were amazing- I may never want them without a combo of bbq sauce and cheese sauce again. The menu said it should have mac and cheese on it, but we just had cheese and no noodles. Maybe a mixup? Either way also good and a repeat for sure.
Potato salad is something I am incredibly picky about. Potatoes were soft and perfectly cooked. Seasoning spot on – the right amount of salt, a perfect addition of dill. Not too much mayo. And definitely no Miracle Whip (on the list of my least favorite flavors ever).
Coleslaw was very good, just not my preference. This is of the traditional apple cider vinegar variety and I am more the KFC creamy chopped kinda girl. Still delicious and glad I tried it.
Many people were doing takeout today, but there are a few tables available. They didn’t have drinks yet, but will have bottled Pepsi products soon. (There’s a bunch of places to pick up a drink on the way in, which is what we did just in case).
The owner was fantastic to talk to. He mentioned they will be doing Thursday specials (possibly a Texas thing from what I gathered?) – this week a smoked burger, also a smoked Philly brisket sandwich in the future that I can’t wait to try. Saturdays there will be much more variety – Beef Ribs, Smoked Turkey, and other specialty items in addition to the regular menu.
Prices very reasonable – we paid $38 for all 4 items. They also have their sauces and seasonings for sale.
Highly recommend.

This is the best bbq I had in the tristate area. The burnt ends and pork ribs were very well done, flavorful yet not dried out. This is very hard to achieve with pork ribs. I will definitely revisit when I pass through the area again.

Great service, the owner and employees were super friendly and the barbecue is fantastic! Make sure to come in early or order by phone if you want to snag any of the specials because some things run out fast.
The ‘normal’ menu items are also mouth wateringly good. The brisket was soft and had a great tasting fat cap and the turkey was juicy and flavorful.
This place is a must for BBQ lovers in NY
