We enjoyed our first dinner in San Miquel on the rooftop of this lovely place. There are a lot of steps – so those with walking or mobility issues, be forewarned. There is a fantastic indoor space on the ground level so that’s a good option.
The service was warm and inviting. The Italian leaning menu is really large so choosing your offerings might be challenging. There is also an extensive special board. We ordered everything off of that board.
We started with the carpaccio salad with capers / mushrooms. It was lightly seasoned and easily shareable. We split the carnita cannoli and empanadas. We ended with a solid pecan torte. Overall our particular ordering was on the heavy side. But that’s on us. This is a super solid place. The view from the rooftop is fabulous. And the owner is delightful. He made a point of greeting folks and making sure everyone is doing well. Really a super night.

Our favorite dinner in SMA. Not only was the staff amazing and the views spectacular; the food was awesome and they threw in some unexpected extras. The owner came around several times to check on each table which is usually indicative of a good team and this was definitely proof of that.

Marco was a great host – what a great find. We had the duck appetizer and Ravioli pork special. Both were excellent!

Lived up to the hype! The view was outstanding and so was the food. We really enjoyed the smoked tuna and bacon wrapped dates starter dishes. Presentation was lovely. It was the best meal we had in San Miguel.

Staff, especially Sergio, are amazing. Attentive. Made excellent recommendations. On top of their game.
Owner/Chef spent time at our table guiding us with choices. Even took our drink orders. I like seeing an owner who isn’t just overseeing things.
I had the beet salad to start and carnita ravioli with pesto special for entree. Partner had date starter and filet. Food was prepared to perfection. Menu diverse. Something for everyone.
Gratis asparagus soup sample when we sat down. Yum! Gratis digestive after the meal.
We ate on the Rooftop. Very comfortable.
Highly highly highly recommend.

An amazing food experience at this unique restaurant. The wood fired grill and wine list will bring you in the door. But the regional seasonal superior cuisine is created by a local chef with French Swiss-German and Italian heritage. He synthesizes his creations using local produce and Mexican cultural influences. I enjoyed the smaller list of well chosen mezcals.

Craving lasagna? Head over to Casa Nostra. The salads were light and fresh. The bacon-wrapped dates came sizzling hot and balanced the sweet and savory craving to perfection. The pasta dish missed the mark, though. It was prepared table side but served lukewarm and the noodles were too soft. The rooftop seating provided a rewarding view of the city at sunset and you can capture great pics of the church with different lighting. The service was excellent and the owner personally takes time to meet you. What more can you want out of a restaurant experience? I can’t think of anything.

Beautiful place and amazing owner. This is not his fault but our experience was pretty bad. Once a big group arrives to the place, if you are a party of 4 or less- suddenly you don’t have a server. We had to flag them down for everything and our food and drinks were either forgotten or took forever to come.. My ravioli was ice cold, but I ate it anyway because I was hungry and didn’t want to wait long time again. Once the owner came to us, we complained so he tried to make it better by gifting us desserts which we really appreciated. That’s the only reason I am giving 3 stars and not 1. Btw we payed 1000 USD for a dinner for 4 people – 3 starters, 4 main dishes and 1 dessert, few drinks. It’s very expensieve and unheard of even in the US for that amount of food. This is definitely not the real Mexico anymore, this city is totally americanized.

Good food, great service, great views. You feel like you are being greeted into someone’s home. Lots of options for food. I have been here now twice, and both were great experiences. Alejandro who was pretty new, was excellent, attentive, and polite.

There are insufficient words to describe the experience of dining at Casa Nostra. From the beautiful ambience, the superb food, the excellent mixology, solicitous wait staff, to the amazingly available and convivial owner, all is perfection. Our favorite restaurant in San Miguel and a must go for every visit.
