This place is cash only, but they do have an ATM inside, which is helpful if you forget. The veggie burrito was pretty stuffed, which was great, though I found out after a few bites that goat cheese isn’t really my thing (just a personal preference!). The French toast was really tasty, and the portion sizes were generous. You’ll definitely leave with leftovers. The potatoes were my favorite part of the meal, and the outdoor seating was a nice touch. The staff was friendly.

Good service! We were offered a free plate of French toast (delicious), because the cooks made an extra order by mistake? Glad they didn’t throw it out and let us benefit instead!
All of our food was correct, and great! Big portion sizes.
The walls can be opened up to allow a nice breeze through the restaurant.
I’d visit again!

My brother and I went out to get some breakfast on a Sunday morning around 11 AM. Saw the pictures of the food beforehand, thought it looked amazing, and golly it held up to the expectations! My brother got a chicken and egg sandwich that he loved and satisfied him. I got blueberry pancakes, with some toast, and house potatoes on the side. All of it was very delicious, we appreciated that none of it it was too sweet. The staff was nice. The atmosphere simple. With the two main plates, two sides, and two cups of coffee, it totaled up to $50 — which we were happy with, especially with how full we were.
This place is CASH ONLY. They do have an ATM.
We were very happy with our experience and look forward to returning!

The food is OKAY. Bacon was extremely burnt. The vibe was so uncomfortable that I didn’t even want to complain about it. Waiter was very weird and rude. For starters he snatched the menus out our hands after completing our orders. He also slammed our plates very aggressively when the food came out. He literally watched us the entire time we ate. The cooks were also not welcoming. one cook came from the back , looked at me and my guest said something insulting in Spanish. The waiter told the cook to “stop” in Spanish. They then kept laughing every time they walked past. Not a welcoming environment at all.

My wife saw this place from the train and took me here for breakfast this morning. We love the neighborhood that surrounds it and the ease of accessibility from the brown line. We were sat at the front most table so I can’t speak to the entire restaurant but it appeared very clean and up kept. The service was very fast and friendly. The menu had a great selection of Benedict options and various waffles and pancakes. The food was delicious and the coffee was great too. Highly recommend.

I want to start off by saying our waitress was super nice and the service was quick! The interior is quite charming. Their mac n’ cheese was so-so but the chicken tortilla soup was delicious! This joint being cash only is a drag and being sat right in front the door made for a very windy/chilly meal.

Food was good, great American breakfast, service was good down side Cash only doesn’t make sense in 2025. In adequate temperature no heat was on 24 degree weather.

To those who have rated this goldmine less than 5 stars … WHO HURT YOU?! I would challenge every one of you to a duel to defend the honor of this establishment! In all seriousness, consider applying my #1 restaurant rule: Always try someplace twice – you might have gone on an off night. Jam N’ Honey is a place worth going to over and over again – we couldn’t stop talking about it!
This was the only place my friend and I even considered stopping at twice during our trip to Chicago; the food and hospitality was so above-and-beyond – it gives me hope in humanity! Kasia was our waitress; she was very welcoming and informative and an absolute joy to be around! She was right when she said that we’d be back! We also met Gigi, one of the co-owners who heard about me weeping over their Oatmeal Pancakes! (Easily the best thing I have ever tasted – I cried, this dish is a religious experience. I’m not a particularly religious person but, I saw god and they exist in the form of a pancake in this little diner!) Seriously, they’re so good I ordered some to take back home to Louisville! We also tried the Chicken Tortilla Soup – which my friend doesn’t usually care for – but they liked it so much that they ordered it specifically on our second stop before we left the city. This is a required stop when I come to Chi in the future (… unless you ever decide you want to open a location in Louisville)! All the best fortune to everyone here and to the random girl who suggested we try this place out! I will be back!

Okay so delicious! First the staff was incredible and service was so fast even for Sunday Brunch. The traditional eggs benedict was fabulous with juicy, thick cut ham, soft poached eggs and a rich, flavourful hollandaise. I was very impressed! Also the ambiance was like an upbeat and classier take on classic diner. They played plenty of Ariana Grande so I was in heaven with the music too
