Best Cuban Food from Texas to the Northeast!

We’ve been road-tripping from Texas all the way to New York, and stumbling upon Havana Cafe in North Attleborough was the culinary highlight of our entire journey so far!

This place is the REAL DEAL. Absolutely authentic Cuban cuisine that takes you straight to Havana with every bite. You can taste the care and tradition in every dish – this isn’t some watered-down version of Cuban food, it’s true to the core and bursting with flavor.

After eating our way across Texas and up through the Northeast, we can confidently say we haven’t had Cuban food better than this anywhere. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and everything tastes like it was made with love by someone’s abuela.

If you’re anywhere near North Attleborough and craving authentic Cuban food, don’t even hesitate – just go. Havana Cafe is an absolute gem that deserves way more recognition. We’re already craving it again and we just left!

Can’t wait to tell our friends back home about this place. ¡Delicioso!

What an absolutely incredible restaurant. It was my first time trying Cuban food and definitely won’t be my last. Parking can be a challenge here but you should be able to find some available street parking.

When you enter Havana Cafe it feels authentic. I’ve never been to Cuba so of course take that with a grain of salt but I love the way they decorated and the music that was playing. Even though the restaurant is small we did not have trouble getting a 2 person seat. There were a few “reserved” tables as well so next time I visit I’ll probably call ahead just to be safe

Our waiter was incredible. Friendly, attentive, and offered some helpful suggestions. He was all of these things without being too pushy and made sure we felt properly checked on. I definitely recommend him but I wish I grabbed a name.

For food we ordered a cheese and chicken empanada. Our waiter also brought out cilantro and habanero sauces. The empanadas were both incredibly crispy and filled will. The chicken was tender and had an intense but pleasant flavor. However, I think I preferred the cheese empanada. The sauces were both excellent as well. Even though I’m not a fan of cilantro I still liked this sauce!

For dinner I had the fried sirloin with congris and fried yuca. The sirloin was perfectly tender and fried well. The yuca was also perfectly crispy while the congris was cooked well and had an excellent garlic flavor. I would definitely order this again. Some pictures made me think the portions would be small but I was satisfied after finishing my dish.

We skipped dessert even though I was heavily debating trying the flan (maybe next time). My partner told me this was one of his “new favorite restaurants” which is high praise. I can not recommend Cafe Havana enough!

A+++!!! Delicious food, beautiful Cuban decor, excellent customer service – what’s not to love? Quaint little hole in the wall with authentic Cuban fare. Parking, like seating, is scarce, but well worth it. Reservations can be made in advance! Everything was delicious. Friendly and professional staff.

Love going to Havana cafe to satisfy my cravings for Cuban food. Very authentic, the staff is also super friendly. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend the “ropa vieja” with congris and maduros. The fried pork belly is also very tasty with tostones!

Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere speak for itself! Makes me feel I’m eating at my Cuban grandmas in Florida. The Tres Leches is to die for.

Best Cuban food! Warm, small but cozy and clean. The mojito is better than the ones I’ve had in California (Venice Beach area) The Redsnapper and yuca fried and smothered in garlic is always delicious. Just get food here. If you like great food and a feeling of home…this is where it’s at. This is not the Mojito talking. They take care of ppl and my son could not even finish his sandwich. Angelo took such great care of us

Havana Cafe is the best Cuban food I’ve ever had, and I’ve traveled a lot! I’ve been eating here for years and though they’ve made some changes over the years, the food is still fantastic. I love the vaca frita with congris and tostones. The tequeños with both cilantro sauce and (surprisingly) Nutella were delicious! My fiancé got the bistec de pollo and loved it. Lots of food for the price. Small inside so make a reservation!
