We had about two or three different servers helping us, but the Asian woman who mainly took care of our table was especially great. She was super kind, attentive, and made sure we got everything we needed. She really helped make the night feel special.
The only downside was that the food took a while to come out between courses. At one point it seemed like one of our dishes might have been taken to the wrong table or forgotten. It did not seem like it was her fault though as it was a different server who took the order.
Where it slightly stumbles is flavor consistency. The kimchi was good, but it didn’t have that unmistakable authentic Korean kimchi punch. Instead, it leaned more toward a Chinese-fusion profile, which I didn’t mind on its own—but that flavor carried straight into the kimchi fried rice. Unfortunately, the fried rice came out a little cold and tasted oddly sweet, too salty, and mildly burnt all at once. Not terrible, just… confusing.
Now, the main attraction: the meats. They’re good—fresh, nicely cut, and clearly quality—but not quite as mind-blowing as the décor and hype suggest. The visuals promise fireworks; the flavor delivers sparklers. Maybe I ordered the lowest tier, maybe my expectations were too high, but it didn’t fully live up to the luxury label.
Service was excellent, and most of the other dishes were great. Dessert sealed things off with two mochi ice creams—one soft and fresh, the other noticeably hard, which I’m assuming means not so fresh. Nitpicky? Sure. But at this level, details matter.
Final verdict: 4 stars. I’m being extra picky because this place advertises itself as luxury KBBQ. It’s polished, fresh, and beautiful—just missing that final flavor punch to earn a full five.
We opted in for the $80/person set (they also have an AYCE menu), which included the A5 Wagyu, Premium Short Rib, Freshly Shucked Oysters, Seafood Pancake, and SO much more. The food presentation was amazing – they served the A5 Wagyu and Short Rib in a box with dry ice for the visual effect.. Like WOW. And not to mention, there is enough leftovers for us to have a full lunch tomorrow.
We met the owner, and I have to say – he was the nicest guy who truly wants to build an incredible experience for everyone… And you can see that right away with the presentation of the food.
The service was nothing short of awesome – super friendly servers and they made sure we were well informed of every food menu item that hit the table.
For parking, I recommend parking across the street at the bank or finding some street parking. Plenty of street parking since it’s in downtown Crystal City!
