We will absolutely be coming back. I got the meat plate (pulled pork with original BBQ sauce, cole slaw, and collard greens). My husband got the 2 meat plate (burnt end & brisket with honey BBQ sauce, mac & cheese, and Texas toast). The food was all very good!!! I recommend the honey BBQ over the original. Good weather, great service, awesome location, and even better vibes.

Called in my order and it was ready in about 10–15 minutes, which was super convenient. The food was kind of hit or miss though. The Dino rib looked really charred but actually wasn’t overcooked, just kind of bland. The brisket was pretty dry. The collard greens were amazing, and I liked the sausage and pulled pork too. The beer mac and cheese wasn’t for me—the beer flavor was way too strong. Overall, some things were great, others not so much.

I have been living in Madisonville pretty much all my life and I’ve always wanted a really good BBQ place in the town. I used to travel a good bit for work and would always try different BBQ places around La,Ms,Al and I have to say this place is perfect in every way. The staff are super friendly and personable. The food was absolutely amazing!! The atmosphere is everything I look for in a BBQ joint. Sitting outside getting to look at the small town I cherish so much. Even the building being in the old barber shop is a cool touch. I will 1000% be back again and again.

I have my favorite spot in Bham.. but after a business trip to Mandeville / Covington Louisiana .. a colleague turned me on to one of the top BBQ Restaurants I’ve ever been to. Notorious P.I.G had the most amazing brisket sandwich I’ve ever had. It was so tender and slow roasted over a pit of white oak. So good. This sandwich was served on Texas toast with homemade cole slaw. This is 5 Star BBQ… the restaurant is located in a quaint inlet-coastal town of Madisonville Louisiana. signature barbecue sauce made with local bourbon. The restaurant serves items such as hearty platters, sandwiches on thick-cut Texas toast, and tacos, alongside homemade sides like coleslaw and pickled onions. The food here was absolutely amazing. Me and my husband haven’t been able to find good genuine bbq since moving to LA, and this is Exactly what we’ve been wanting. The owner is as nice as can be which truly just makes it 10x better. Highly recommended and will absolutely be coming back.
