They primarily have takeout orders around dinnertime, but their dine in service is great as they tell you if they have a lot of orders and that it might take longer for your food to arrive. There are many options on their menu and their specials are great. Bentos have lots of variety and their sushi and dons are well crafted.

*** Updated after response to include pictures of food stored in an unsafe manner and the general filth of the place. The lies in the response are indicative of the management*** Food quality and safety issues. I got food poisoning after eating here. The restaurant is filthy and unclean, when I went in there was food all over with no temp control just sitting in dishes in the front area. Just a really dirty and nasty place. The service is about the same. Very unfriendly workers, running around a lot but not really doing anything. Long waits with horrible staff for food that makes you sick. Not worth the risk.

Honestly such a weird experience. I walked into an empty restaurant and none of the workers greeted me. Felt like they were a bit annoyed I was there. None of the tables were bussed. They eventually put me on a table and the server – whom I think was the manager – was surprisingly rude, curt and made me feel like it was a chore to take an order of three sushi dishes for me.

That’s when the waiting began.

I sat there for forty minutes waiting.

A few people filtered into the restaurant. It wasn’t very busy. I tried to politely get the server’s attention and eventually he came to my table and abruptly said “it’s coming soon” and walked away. No apologies, no attempt to smooth things over, he seemed like he was annoyed I was even asking.

The food was actually not bad. But the service experience in which it arrived was so bad that I can’t justify giving the food even two stars.

And top it all off, when I was asking for the bill the server interrupted me rudely before I could finish saying “I’ll bring the bill” and walked away – leaving me to wait for another ten minutes before I decided to walk up to the counter and force them to settle me up.

An unbelievably bad experience. How hard is it to be polite and friendly?

There’s a Korean Japanese fusion restaurant basically down the street. The staff there are very friendly and pleasant. Go there. They serve the biggest sushi pieces I’ve ever eaten

We have been ordering the party platters for 3 years and they were always fresh, full of fish and delicious. Within the last 6 months the quality has gone downhill. We justified the first time because they were super busy and we thought they ran out of ingredients. We went back tonight and it was quiet, and again the sushi was lacking any filling, the sushi was falling apart when picked up and the salmon was off tasting. Unfortunately we will be finding a new sushi place.

Needing my sushi fix, I can agree with the high ratings. The Agadashi tofu, Akira, rainbow and White Dragon rolls made it too easy to get stuffed. To be fair, one person can be fully satisfied with Miso soup, Agadashi tofu and a roll, so bring a hungry friend.

Recommended.

The Tuna sashimi I had was a eight pieces box with lots wasabi , if you don’t want any wasabi you have to let them know when you placed the order! The Tuna was sashimi piece was smaller and thinner , the box did come with lots ginger slices. Very convenient location with free street parking, very friendly staffs, just the floor feels slippery to me .

Tried this little place in Sidney and it was very good for lunch. We ordered the California roll and dynamite roll along with one of their rotating Monday specials, a Panko salmon bento box. The rotating special is only $14 and is the perfect amount of food (miso, panko salmon and katsu sauce with rice, bbq salmon sushi and salad. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. I’ll be back!

Must be under new ownership? Have not been here for quite awhile and won’t be back. Strange atmosphere, no smiles or greetings, had to ask for water but only filled mine but not my wife’s. The agedashi tofu was not hot ( didn’t hear it deep frying) the spicy tuna role had hard / young avocado, sunomono salad was nothing special. The place July 14, 1:30 pm was not busy but so slow. Good luck !

1. Concerns about the quality of the food.
We ordered some simple nigiri, maki rolls, and a sunomono— all of which had a soapy essence and were concerningly fishy. We couldn’t even take a bite of the tuna without grimacing. The sunomono was crunchy and no flavour except for potent vinegar?? Even our green teas were gross— they were soapy too?? The seaweed in my daughter’s miso soup was a bit crunchy, too??

2. Atmosphere.
What atmosphere?
The place was cold, our table was sticky, it was super difficult to get ahold of the servers, despite the place being basically empty.

Honestly, the sushi was a waste of money and coming was a waste of time. Had we known what our experience would have been like, we would have gone elsewhere.

I’ve eaten here a few times, and enjoyed the experience. The food is quite tasty. I’m giving a mediocre review because the service experience was not great, particularly for takeout. I get that things can be chaotic in the food service industry, and (bleep) happens. I’d like to suggest to the owners/managers that their staff needs training in how to handle that, though. A simple acknowledgement that our food was (very) late would have gone a long way to easing our frustration over the wait.
