I stopped in along my travel and I’m happy I did. The parking lot had several open spots. Restaurant was clean. Service was excellent! Food was freshly prepared and tasted soooooo good. If you are hungry for breakfast I definitely recommend. Bacon was so good. And was happy to see that they offer grits. Thanks ✌️

This is a TOTAL gem. Obvious local hangout with a steady stream of locals stopping by. This is a feel good, treat you like home diner complete with counter service. Simple and relaxed, unpretentious and comfortable. The decor is as you might expect it.
All the food looked great. I had eggs with ground sirloin and enjoyed it very much. Good coffee and quick service. If I’m back this way I’m definitely stopping again.

Scrambled eggs cooked just right with shredded cheese! Over- easy eggs fresh cooked just right !
Biscuits taste homemade(it doesn’t taste like out of can biscuits) Gravy good too!
Friendly staff and cooks! Kitchen clean and organized!
We sat at bar too, giving us a nice experience to see food cooked!
This place does have limited seating , best to plan to come early to get seat or you may have to wait.
Nice decor and CLEAN inside.

BEST ALL AROUND! Excellent EXCELLENT excellent service, reasonable prices and amazing cooks No price gouging, snobby service or half assed “bottom shelf everything” menu at ten times the cost! Jacksboro is NOT the best place in Texas for food. Because there are limited options this far out in the sticks, most of our restaurants are downright awful in terms of quality, service and most importantly price. A couple restaurants make their food from generic canned products from the grocery store across the street and charges at least a 200% markup, another claims to be world famous but is just like in and out burger except they don’t sell fries. The rest are HELLA expensive. This place is the exception and is amazing across the board!

Hubby and I were headed home to Fort Worth after a weekend of camping at Lake Arrowhead, and found this place. Absolutely delicious! My chicken fried steak was hand battered. Hubby’s onion rings were the perfect consistency and temperature. The burger was huge. No complaints here.

We arrived at 12:15. If you are in a group of 2 or more, do not come during lunchtime. Our food took a very long time to arrive. My chicken fried steak was smaller than usual but still tasty. The waitress was not attentive so we were asked by another employee if anything else was needed. I don’t know if they weren’t planning on being busy today but it seems the organization was off. I saw plenty of tables in which a few in the party had their food and the others in the group did not.
