The app said the location was “temporarily closed,” and the website said the same thing. I called to double-check, and the employee told me they were open and I could place my order over the phone. I did exactly that.
When I arrived to pick up my food, they tried to charge me full price. When I mentioned the $5 deal and showed that the app and website were down, they refused to honor it and acted like I was making it up. They wouldn’t even look at the app or verify the issue.
I ended up asking for a refund and leaving — and took my business to Jersey Mike’s, where the staff were polite and the prices were exactly what they advertised.
Really disappointing experience. I won’t be back to this location.
Many years ago, Schlotzskys was located on Maplewood, thats when everything was 100 percent perfection. Every since Schlotzskys relocated to its current location, and when they hired Sue its been anything but perfection. Starting with the Buns, they are not supposed to be flat, re-learn how to make the Sourdough buns since its been forgotten. Every employee seems intimidated by the manager. The owner actually works hard and keeps things clean when he’s there. Jennifer is nice and hard working as well, and a few whose names i dont know. Most of the employees dont wash their hands. Schlotzskys in the DFW area would never have flat buns, missing items, sloppily made sandwiches, and poor customer service.
If you eat here remember to get a Cinnamon cinnamon roll, warmed. Momma pajama those are delicious!
This is the only Schlotzsky’s location in town. It was nice and clean. The self-service drinks station was well stocked with napkins, lids, and straws. There are plenty of seating for individuals and larger groups of people. It is a roomy dining area.
Eating here was a delicious, filling, stop during our day of shopping, today.
*****Always a great meal when we stop here!
