Tacos de lengua
Big boy burrito carne asada
Tacos de asada
Review:
The lengua was amazing! Great flavor and tender cuts. The tacos are the size of a street taco plus a half size more. They are big. The burrito is an amazing proportion. One could feed you for two meals. Definitely worth the price. They serve you a bottle of creamy avocado Verde salsa and a rojo salsa, if you eat in. The rojo salsa had the best flavor but packed a good punch of heat. The tacos were given with a side of sauteed onions (which I have never had on a street taco before.) They changed the game of tacos. Chef’s kiss. They also added a grill jalapeno to the side if the tacos. They were blistered to tender perfection. Hot as fire but delicious. We also ordered coke from the bottle and a small horchata both tasted as expected. The employee was very kind and attentive. Overall we will go back there again and highly recommend you to try them out as well.
Where do I begin? The service was super friendly and helpful then the food was off the hook. We had to get our food to go since we are trying to lay down some miles but I wish we could have stayed. It looks like a locals hang out.
We ordered carne asada tacos, fish tacos, chicken taquitos, and a carne asada taco. Every flavor was different and exceptional. I used to live in San Diego on the border of Mexico and this place beat some of my favorite places there. Authentic, and traditional, but also with their own spin on salsa’s spices Etc. OMG it was good! I just finished chewing my last bite and I want to turn around, drive back and get more.
Oh check out the picture of my burrito. It’s the size of a small baby or my flippin leg!!! Crazy. It was all meat too!!… No beans. I’m sure, you can get one with them if you want that but, I’m all about the meat. They make breakfast burritos also.
So me and my delicious horchata are gonna just sit here, watching the scenery go by and dream of this place in our town.
(I included the salt shaker next to my burrito just for size comparison)
Update: Since I can’t leave multiple reviews, but I have been back here multiple times and normally gotten the same burrito over and over but yesterday I decided to try the “Tapatía” since I have seen many people get it every time I go. It was freakin’ amazing as well. It’s basically a deep fried quesadilla with carne asada, cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, lettuce & cotija cheese. The price for it was $10.99 and very filling. Would highly recommend getting the tapatía! (Shown in the last picture!)
