Wine store specializing in refined European & Lebanese wines, with ports & weekly tasting events.

Josh has a great selection of wines that are definitely up my alley–and by that, I mean really tasty Italian producers (don’t worry, he also has tons of French and Spanish and everything else that I like too).
Being on the west coast, and particularly Seattle, it can be tough to get distribution… but browse the shelves here and you can find some Barolos and Barbarescos and… okay the list goes on and on, but there are wines here you won’t be able to find elsewhere locally.
Josh is also super fun to talk with, and his love for wine is so apparent and so infectious, you will leave with a smile on your little oenophile face every time.
Also: get on his texting list, and he’ll send out deals every week–no pressure to buy, but if you like the offer, you just respond to the text to reserve and pick it up at the store sometime later!
Did I mention that unlike so many other shops, he keeps his stock up to date online? So you can browse for fun things, and then you’re sure that they are there when you roll into the shop to get them.
And finally, if you buy at the shop instead of online with shipping, you get a little break from the posted price online!
There’s no downside here folks, check out the shop and help them help you become a more fulfilled human being through the greatest gift of all–great wine.

This store has a great selection and service! Be sure to follow their Instagram page for their wine tasting announcements! There are always new, fun wines coming in. If searching for something specific, Josh can also help you order European wines through his network. There is also a weekly wine text offering with unique, limited quantity wines for discounted prices. It’s so wonderful to have this well-stocked store so close to home!

A fantastic store and a hidden gem of a wine store. If you’re tired of seeing the same old labels and wines at the grocery stores, this is the only place to find something unique, different, and new to try. Best of all, the prices are amazingly competitive and affordable. They carry very high-end exclusive wines to everyday table wines. Josh (the new owner) will help you pick out the perfect bottle to meet your budget and occasion.
Save the hassle of driving all the way to Total Wine. You won’t get the same expert and personal service as you’d get at Rainy City wines.

Ordered wine from Rain City Wines online, and the service I received from Josh was phenomenal, absolutely unmatched.
If you’re in the area and looking to buy some nice wine, or you are looking to order online, check this place out. You won’t beat this service anywhere.
Thanks for running such a great store, Josh! Your love and passion for wine is evident.

This is the best wine store, period. Josh has a great selection and has been able to track down some obscure bottles for me for my tasting group. Sometimes his dog Maple is at the store and she is perfect.
Make sure to sign up for the text messages to get great deals!!

I am a late comer to wine. I love this place. I wish every wine shop was accessible and delicious for the “naturally minded” wine lover. But — at least we have this one here in Bothell! I happened in on my way to meet a friend at a near restaurant, and now Rain City Wines is the only wine shop for me! (Having beat out closer in proximity contenders as I live twenty minutes south in Bellevue). Thank you, Josh!

What a great find. Travelling back to Vancouver area from Seattle, we detoured to Rain City, they had the Barolo I was looking for. Great staff (I think Josh). We bought all he had in stock, and had a great wine tasting as well, 11:30 AM. Out of the way from I5 but well worth stop. Fantastic selection of Italian wines.

I’ve been going here since it opened and don’t buy wine anywhere else! The owner, Santo, is great. He knows more about wine than anyone I’ve ever met, but isn’t a snob. That also means that he has great connections in the wine world and is able to get bottles you don’t see many other places and offer unique tastings. If you go in asking for a recommendation, you will have your choice from $12 bottles all the way up to bottles that are $1K, just tell him your budget. He is also a proponent of grower champagne and estate wines, which is great.
