I forgot about how good this place was. I was in the area and decided to drive by to pick up dinner for my family. The Big chicken sandwich and the individual pieces of chicken were fresh and tasty. The sweet tea was great as well. Staff was polite too and the price for everything was very reasonable.

I ordered some chicken wings and french fries from Golden Skillet, the chicken and fries was nice golden brown and hot with some flavor. It seems like, they don’t offer, too many french fries with your chickens, so don’t get your hopes up expecting to receive more french fries. They only give you one mambo sauce, or (mumbo sauce) depending on how do you like to pronounce it?to go with your order of chicken wings, and if you want more mambo sauce, you have to pay .25 cents more for each. Staff was friendly, helpful and quick with my order. Restaurant was clean and parking spaces are limited.

Golden skillet always had some bomb chicken even from back in the day. Now I will say that I had the audacity to try their gizzards. Man oh man. I’ve had them three times now and each time they were on point. Very good! The pic is a GIZZARD box!

I always smell the chicken from this place when I drive by. It smells wonderful, I decided to stop and try them. I got two pieces of chicken, fries, biscuits, and mumbo sauce. The chicken was crispy and juicy inside. The mumbo sauce was really good. The service was wonderful, especially since I didn’t know what they had at 1st. The guy working the window was exceptionally nice and patient he helped us with our order(sorry I didn’t get his name). I am definitely going to try them again. Thanks.
