The kids and I ordered milkshakes. Pb with pb sauce for me, mint chocolate chip for my youngest, and caramel crunch for my son. They were thick and refreshingly delicious on a hot day.
For food, we got a pound of brisket, pulled pork sandwich, large fried okra, large Mac n cheese, small coleslaw, and small twice baked potatoes. Total with milkshake came out to around $67. I felt that was a good deal for a family of 5 with milkshakes.
Cashier was polite and efficient. Also patient as we took our time ordering.
I would rate each of the menu items 5 stars. Very delicious.
The pictures of the ribs may not do them justice. The ribs are not sauced or rubbed, and are smoked perfectly, they were very tender.
A small side is $2 and is the size of most places large sides.
If you’re visiting the I-76 Antique Mall this is less than a mile away and worth the trip.
The service was wonderful. They were attentive but not intrusive. They made sure that food was available for the entire party.
The food was excellent! We ordered pulled pork (for sliders), smoked sausage (kielbasa), wings and sides (potato salad, green beans, coleslaw).
They offered three types of BBQ sauces: honey, mild and hot. The hot isn’t really hot but tasted good!
The wings were some of the best cooked wings we ever had!
The homemade ice cream was a hit, especially with the graduates!
The owner even gave us a tour of the smokers!
Highly recommend!
The bad:
Everything is alacarte outside of the lunch specials.
Their sides are over priced for the amount you get. Their ribs are extremely over priced, are tiny, and have no meat on them. I’ve gotten the ribs three times and have been disappointed all three times. Corn bread is very dry and lacks flavor.
The good:
The pulled pork is good and worth the price. They do have very good 7 dollar lunch specials. The wings are good but are overpriced at an alacarte price of a dollar a wing. If you’re willing to pay for the wings they are good. The chili is very good as well, portion just seems small for the price.
I eat here a lot because I love their brisket, chili cheese fries, and ice cream. The chili cheese fries says it comes in only a large size but it’s not really that big, and that is my only complaint on those as they’re 4.50. I posted a picture of the chilli cheese fries. The container isn’t even a quarter of the way full. Very underwhelming for how much you pay for them. There is more foil in it than food.
I do recommend Double-R, but they could improve on a few things.
